Durant is a phenomenal player but my god he's so soft. If people have Instagram here, go check KD's most recent IG stories. If you remember some of the criticism Charles Barkley gave KD about his time with the Warriors, then you'll understand it.

Not a good look for KD IMHO

I just looked at that after you posted. The Houston rockets one just dumb. Those rockets guys were all basically washed up at that point. It certainly wasn’t a super team. It also didn’t accomplish anything so not even sure what the point is.
Just ridiculous. Charles Barkley carried a Phoenix team with Kevin Johnson, Dan Majerle and Danny Ainge to 6 games against Jordan's Bulls. Over that playoff run he averaged 27/14/4, which is essentially Giannis-esque. His game 7 WCF effort against Seattle where he put up 44 points and 24 rebounds is straight up legendary.

Go off Chuck!

I've honestly begun to question his actual place in the pantheon on basketball.  I've lowered him considerably on my all time list because I don't think he is an alpha like the true all timers.  His comments about never being the focus and not knowing how to deal with it.  His flameouts in big moments in OKC, hise short cut to titles and then bolting when it got tough, and then going to a place to play with a friend rather than care about winning.  Chris Broussard, for all his faults, said it best that the problem with the Nets is that their Batman has a Robin personality and their Robin has a Batman personality.  Durant has the talent to be a #1 guy, but not the mental makeup to really handle it.  He needs the fall guy to take pressure off.  For so long that was Westbrook.  he then joined a champion and faced no adversity while healthy, got hurt, and bolted.  Now the last 2 years, he has had to be the man in large part because the guy he chose to play with flakes out consistently (when he is even available), and they've lost 8 of his last 9 playoff games several of which he just wasn't very good.  I used to think Durant was a top 15 player all time, now I think he is more like a top 25 guy, maybe even more like top 30 or 35.  I just don't think he really has it.  He could certainly prove me wrong next year and the Nets could make a deep playoff run, I just don't see it.
Well-stated.  I can now comfortably disagree with those who label him "best player on the planet".  That's just silly.  Durant does one thing really well: shoot. He's not a great defender, seemingly a mediocre ball-handler, not known for his rebounding or passing.  Now, he's a future HOFer, but on the all-time list he's easily back in 20's, at best, not top-10 for sure.

Man this hawks heat game is terrible. Haven’t cracked 50 with 9:30 left in Second.

Not sure Nate is the long term coach here. Doesn’t seem to be making any adjustments and just had them launching 3. Especially when bam is out they need to be able to the rim some.

Man. KD is such a soft player. Calls himself "God" then going at random fans and Charles Barkley whomever dares criticize him for getting swept. Pathetic.

Chuck is right. Only time KD won was joining a 73 win team after blowing a 3-1 lead to them. He's failed when he's been "the man"

Then you got Kyrie talking about how he's gonna be GM next year with KD.

This is such a hateable team

It is very easy to watch personalities like these go down in flames. It's a shame, because I love to watch Durant and Kyrie play basketball. They both play beautiful basketball on offence.

But man, just so unlikeable

Is Victor O going to be a problem? Looks darn good starting for Butler. Seems fully healed.

Out of nowhere, Jimmy Butler is OUT for tonight's game with right knee inflammation

No Lowry and no Butler. If the Hawks still can't manage to win this game then they deserve to be eliminated.

Hawks be playing like how a #8 seed should be playing. Garbage lol. But man, this Heat team is getting banged up. Whoever comes out of the TOR/PHI series...could they give Miami some trouble?

Minn just lost a def rebound because two of their guys were fighting over it, bounces to the Mem and then they score.
LOL

even with all this low-iq bball, Minn up by 9.  They should be up by 20.

This TWolves/Grizz series is so good..
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

It's fun but all kinds of sloppy on both ends -- at least what I've seen (which is not a ton).
