Feel like the Clippers could be dark horse in the West if Kawhi comes back. I know that’s a big “If”, but say he does, I could totally see the LAC knocking out Phoenix or Memphis first round. A rotation of Jackson, George, Leonard, Morris, Zubac with Mann, Covington, Batum, and Powell off the bench is as talented of a team as any. Excellent coach, too.
I haven't heard a Kawhi update for a while - is there any news regarding how he is tracking?
Door isn't closed on him returning, though doesn't seem all that likely.

2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Rotation - Noah, G. Wallace, Melo, Mitchell,
Deep Bench -

Not really. I saw a video of him shooting around(by himself) before a game about a Week ago. Sounds like he’s hasn’t been ruled out, though. Below is from earlier today.

“I feel like we were doing it before but some nights we were missing guys and it was tough and sometimes we didn’t have enough,” he said. “It just didn’t show. Now with PG, we good.”

More than rejuvenating the Clippers’ defensive potential, it has also infused a confidence that belies their record. And with guard Norman Powell working out on the Crypto.com Arena court before tipoff Sunday in the latest step toward his recovery from a fractured foot bone, forward Marcus Morris Sr. said they don’t feel like a typical eighth-seed. Should Powell and Kawhi Leonard, whose return has not been ruled out, come back, the Clippers would become one of the postseason’s most fascinating teams.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Lakers toast? The Spurs are a mind blowing 16 point favorite over the blazers who have put on one of the hardest tanking displays you will ever see. The other game currently happening is an absolute joke with luminaries like Carson Edwards, Justin Anderson, Braxton Key and Isiah Livers seeing the floor.

Wait wait wait...Carson Edwards is still in the league?

Just got back in for the pistons. Think it is a 10 day.

He dished out 9 assists...

9 assists??? That can't be the same Carson Edwards...
9 assists is a lot more believable for Carson than 9 points.

I was thinking 9 bricks .

Carson got a two year deal.

Maybe he’s going to make that 5th year jump and be a real contributor.

He'll get a chance with the Pistons. He really needs to shoot at a high rate to be worth putting on the court.

NEW YORK -- Brooklyn Nets swingman Ben Simmons will not be making his season debut in the regular season as he continues to deal with a herniated disk issue in his back, Nets coach Steve Nash said after Monday's practice. Nash added that while he remains hopeful that Simmons will return at some point in the playoffs, he would be "shocked" if Simmons played in the Nets' play-in game next week.

"He's not running, so yeah," Nash said. "I don't see him [being ready]. I would be shocked."

Back injuries are bad and if he's not running it'll be a while.

His wallet could be remaining a lot lighter, so that might help his recovery*:

*It will not. Disk injuries are awful.

John Calipari to Lakers?? This is just my hunch & think it may happen..why??? His time here at UK is up..fans are tired of his antics & excuses plus he think he is king of coaching..James & Davis would love to have him there in LA

Who could replace him at UK?? Brad Stevens..I think he may be their first choice
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Well, Calipari is certainly slimy enough to fit right in perfectly in LA.

He already flopped real hard once in the NBA.

Magic kind of threw Lebron under the bus here (also whoever had their pitch forks out for Pelinka and trying to absolve Lebron of blame yikes)

During an appearance on ESPN's Get Up, Magic Johnson talked about how he tried to facilitate a sign-and-trade for DeMar DeRozan to end up with the Los Angeles Lakers. Johnson blames LeBron James for the decision that resulted in the Lakers instead trading Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as part of a package for Russell Westbrook while also letting go of Alex Caruso.

In Johnson's scenario, the Lakers would have acquired DeRozan while also trading for Buddy Hield. It is unclear what the Lakers would have had to send to the San Antonio Spurs for DeRozan, which would have also subjected them to the hard cap.

“The blame that he’s got to take is the fact that DeRozan ended up in Chicago and not with the Lakers," said Johnson. "DeRozan wanted to play for the Lakers and when I got the call from his agent, I called the Lakers, said, ‘Hey, he wants to come home.'"

"We could’ve made that deal. But when Russell and LeBron started talking, that’s when they nixed that deal and went with Westbrook."

 ;D ;D ;D

Too bad for Magic, this is LeBron's team right now. And once LeBron is gone, they'll be left in a dumpster fire.
