Things that make you scratch your head.  The Mavs go 2-1 without Doncic.  Get Doncic back and he has a very nice game and they lose.
Only scratching your head until you see how Dinwiddie and Brunson shot the ball.
Brunson's numbers (7-18 overall, 2-5 from 3, 7-8 from the line) aren't bad.
39% from the field (and 5-13 from inside the arc) is not good at all. How is sub-40 shooting anything but bad?
Because you're ignoring that he went 2 for 5 from 3 and 7-8 from the line.  23 points on 18 shots isn't bad.
No, I'm not. It is around 3% lower than league average in true shooting percentage terms, despite good shooting from three and from the FT line.

That is my point.

Hawks and now Jazz with some huge game-winning shots late to arguably save their seasons (for now - since falling behind 3-0 or 3-1 would be even worse)

But yeah why the hell did they not advance the ball to halfcourt after the timeout by DAL??  ???
Don't forget the Sixers/Raps game 3.  Embiid hits the game winner in OT but that was only possible because Achiuwa missed both free throws at the end of regulation.  Sixers fans would be sweating bullets if that series was tied 2-2.

Yeah very true. That Sixers-Raps series is closer than expected but the Embiid shot + Toronto injuries just made it tough for Toronto.

It's insane to think that of all the Eastern Conference Playoff Series, the Brooklyn-Boston one could be the one that ends in a sweep

We were the best team in the East since the turn of the year and its showing even without TL we were just bludgeoning opponents... the Losses we had in the last 3 weeks of the season was practically givn away since the team were sitting starters.  The Nets also finished the season on a very high note and teams at the top were practically having  a Standings watch in order to see what seeding theyd do in order to avoid Brooklyn...

And TBH I actually think the Nets could  beat other top teams even the Heat, Bucks or Sixers in round one but just got punked by the defensive juggernaut that is the Celtics.

After Game 3 I don't think ANY lead is safe for either Memphis or Minnesota LOL

Despite Luka's numbers and the Mavs record they really aren't much better with Luka on the floor because he is so ball dominant.  On the year his on/off per 100 possessions was just 0.2. That is pretty low for a great player with great stats.  That is why despite his injury I picked them to win the West and I still think that holds.  They have a pretty deep team and in the key moments against most teams will have the best player on the floor.  That stuff matters.

Another fan on the court in the Memphis/Minny series. Security wasn't playing with her and dragged her off the court in like five seconds haha Not sure what the deal is with this series and fans.

The security guard was eyeballing that woman before she ran onto the court. That security guard was lightning quick. Glenn Taylor needs to give that guard a raise

Wow, we just watched a ref literally penalize a player (Bane) for getting his call overturned on the previous play. No way that was a charge; ref clearly had an agenda after his call was overturned.

How in the world does the WNBA have the proper replay rule about a player who loses possession due to an uncalled foul and the NBA does not?

The Twolves put on a clinic exploiting Morant on defense.  He had 15 assists but shot poorly.  Jenkins may have to decide to bench Morant in the late 4th if the Grizz are going to win the series.

you think they are winning the west? That’s pretty wild. If you really believe this and aren’t just being contrarian you can bet 200 dollars on them to win 7000. There’s not a lot of people seeing what you are seeing.

it is in the prediction thread I started a couple of weeks ago.  Mavs were the 2nd best team in 2022 behind only the Suns (they had 1 more win than the C's).  They were absolutely on fire and Luka has been a monster in basically every playoff game he has played in.  He shows up
