With Embiid limited by his hand injury and Barnes back for Toronto, could we possibly have a chance at seeing the first team in NBA history to win after being down 3-0?

No chance lol

Also, I think the Embiid thing is being overblown. He's still playing and playing a lot of minutes. It's not like this is some sprained ankle and he's obviously hobbling, it's his thumb which *may* or *may not* have torn ligaments but he's still been playing through it.

Worth monitoring, of course. But so far Embiid hasn't had to miss any games and it's not like his minutes are limited either, he's still playing like nothing's really happened and doing great

To be fair I wouldn’t say he is doing great (by his standards) this game shooting 4-11 for ten points, 3 rebounds and two turnovers. He has also winced a few times during this game. All the more reason for Philly not to let this one slip away with van fleet done.

Yeah true, but some of the comments around here are making it sound like Embiid's actually missing games or that his thumb is actually broken which aren't true. He's still playing at a high level and he's able to play.

But agreed, ideally they need to try and close this series out ASAP to get him some rest. I think they said they'd get an MRI done on the thumb after Game 4 to figure out severity and next steps

They said on this telecast they think he needs surgery after season. Seems like they somehow know he has ligament damage without the mri?

I didn't hear surgery specifically, though I'm not too surprised. Either way after the Sixers playoff run ends (whenever that is) I imagine they'd do some stuff to fix the thumb. It's not getting fixed in just a few days unless the MRI reveals there's absolutely nothing and that maybe Embiid just feels very sore there  :P

Embid playing a bit more aggressive in third here, Toronto hitting their open threes to stay in front.

Yeah might have to eat it on my prediction. Definitely didn’t think raptors could win once van fleet went down. Embid isn’t looking like his dominant self either. Now Harris may be a bit banged up also.

Embid with as many turnovers as rebounds. Was averaging 13 rebounds in the prior 3 games. Think he may be having trouble grabbing or holding the ball.

Still would be absolutely shocked if raptors win series, but the 76ers could have really used the extra rest for Embid from winning today. He was really wincing the whole game and didn’t look right. Wonder if he gets an mri now.

He was due to get an MRI after today's game regardless. From Doc's comments it sounds like the hand injury is fairly severe , it won't heal without surgery but he can't make it worse by playing.

I don’t really get these injuries that are claimed can’t get any worse by playing? How does that work exactly? Basically any injury you have on any limb you start doing small things to compensate for the injury that put you at risk of something else happening. You can also just have swelling that increases even if it a bruise on your forearm.

First team in NBA history to blow a 3-0 lead? That would be fun
