There is never been a more overrated player in Celtics lore than Rajon Rondo. Dude played when he wanted too, his inability to be a consistent player ended up dooming the Big 3, and he eventually quit on the team to the point Cs just traded him away and improved immediately after trading him. Yet, most Cs fans fawn after him. I don’t get it.

It really isn’t. What I said is true.

No it's not lol. He didn't doom anything. In fact, he was the only reason we did so well in the playoffs in the big 3 later years, where he had monster games against the cHeat. The only way he doomed anything was tearing his acl in 2013, which basically ended his prime.
In 11-12 against the Heat, he had 1 monster game.  Boston lost that one and Rondo was -4 in the game.  The game where he scored 7 points on 3 of 15 shooting, Boston won that game by 4 and Rondo was +11.  Boston also won his 2nd lowest point game (15) and he was +8 while Boston won by only 4.  And let's be clear, that was only a close series because Chris Bosh was injured and didn't play until the final 3 games.  Once Bosh came back and got the rust off, the Heat started to crush Boston.

Rondo was wildly inconsistent, but the team was often better when he tried to score less, in a very large part because he was at best only the 4th best scorer on the floor pretty much at all times.
