I wonder if that package the Clippers sent out for Bledsoe, plus Ibaka, was available for Kemba Walker. We’d be in even better cap shape and it wouldn’t have cost us a 1st rounder, or even if it did, it’s a better deal than if we have to waive Horfords final year and carry $14 M over whatever timespan.

Doubtful given that:

1) Bledsoe is only owed 3.9 million next year rather than the $37.6 million we owed Kemba.

2) Adding Kemba this year with that package would have increased the Clipper’s luxury tax bill from roughly $95 million they owe with Bledsoe to $135 million.

I didn’t know Bledsoe was essentially an expiring, good to know

Weird trade for Memphis.  Bledsoe had a small guarantee next year ($3.9 million), so it clears some space next summer, but aside from that I don’t see reason for the move.

Yeah, they give up the best player, and basically gift the Clippers $30 million.  They didn't even get a pick out of it?
probably looking Oturu as that pick

Oturu is averaging about 11 pts and 10 rebs in the summer league (15/14 per 36).  Not bad.  Should at least keep him in the league.  About what Fernando has been doing this summer if you adjust for minutes played.  Fernando actually scoring more per 36 (20/14 per 36).

I know, per 36 can be misleading, especially if you are looking at summer league but it is just offered for some context in relation to both players.

Fwiw, here are some free agents that are still available. The ones in red are restricted.

PG: Isaiah Thomas, Mike James, Frank Ntilikina, Dante Exum, Dennis Smith Jr, Jeff Teague, Brad Wanamaker
SG: Josh Hart, JJ Redick, Wes Matthews, Avery Bradley, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk
SF: Hamidou Diallo, James Ennis, Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot
PF: Lauri Markkanen, Paul Millsap, Jarred Vanderbilt
C: Boogie Cousins, Bismack Biyombo, Isaiah Hartenstein

Don't think we'll sign any of them. We already have 15 guaranteed contracts, plus Jabari on a team option. That said, I'd love us to somehow sign Millsap. Highly doubt he's willing to sign for the minimum otherwise he would have already joined a contender.
I would happily bring in Millsap and Avery Bradley. Cut Parker in that instance, and dump Dunn + Fernando for something. Roster of:

Schroder - Prtichard - Edwards
Smart - Richardson - Bradley
Brown - Nesmith - Langford
Tatum - Millsap - Grant W - Hauser [2-way]
Horford - Rob W - Kanter
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Hart is not an MLE player. Nevermind MLE plus.

As would I, but Edwards is owed guaranteed money. Maybe we could trade him for a 2nd rounder

More likely with a 2nd rounder.

You're not wrong, but I imagine he'd be easy enough to move with cash. Can you imagine if we actually received a 2nd rounder for Edwards? That would be like the best move of the Cs offseason.

Sources: 76ers star Joel Embiid has agreed to a four-year, $196 million super maximum contract extension. Major extension for the 2021 NBA MVP runner-up.

Can you explain your thought process on wanting Avery Bradley? Why would we want any guard that isn't good enough to be a longer term starter?

Depth, plus surrounding the young guys with solid vets?

So adding Richardson and Dunn is not enough vet guard depth?
