Since he obviously wants to be a C, and Thompson's salary matches, what else is the package?

Thompson, Langford, 1st???

Yep.  The Doldrums of summer sports which is why I liked the idea of the NBA starting later and going through the summer.

Go get him Coach Udoka. Not sure how he and Smart fit into the equation but Murray would be an excellent pickup.

I'd love to see Murray here. He's not the pass-first pg of my dreams but he's a lockdown defender who plays smart and with a ton of energy. Imagine having him and Smart in at the same time? Devastating defensively.

I think SA likes him a lot but maybe they're looking at a rebuild so who knows what their price would be.

Boy if he was available for Thompson and Romeo and a 1st, I would probably do it.  I doubt he is though.  He is tall and can defend some people do not give those people away for nothing.

5.42 APG is not bad, also look who he passing too, that number could go up.

Eh, I would be a lot more optimistic if the clover had 3 leaves, instead of 4.

Sorry. PGs who can't shoot need not apply

So DeJounte Murray.  If you compare to Smart, he get significantly more rebounds (7.1 to 3.5 last season) and gets a few more points (15.7 to 13.1) but he took more shots (14.5 to 10.6).  Most everything else is about the same.  So how does a less efficient PG that takes more shots and doesn't get more assists improve us?

I get that Murray is more athletic, an inch taller, and a little younger (25 next season vs 27) but not convinced he is that much of an upgrade.  Probably if you can get Dejounte for Thompson and not too much more, then you could trade Smart for a PF but I don't see the need to have both Smart and DMurray on the team.

Murray (Trade Thompson + ? ? ?)
Brown
Tatum
PF we get for Smart + ? ? ?
Horford

Sign Fournier, Pritchard, Langford, Williams, and whatever else we don't trade from the bench.

I am not sure that is going to make us all that much better.
