Tatum cant try to score 1 on 1 vs Durant in the 2nd half moving forward.

Drive and kick out. Pass the ball around and make the Nets D work.

Thats what guys like Leonard and Doncic would do. Lebron also

Really nice to see Tatum rising to the challenge of defending KD!

C’s need to ruthlessly build around Tatum

Durant took Tatum out of the game in the 2nd half though, they need to solve that problem though

The Nets whole game plan was to take Tatum out of the game. Their defense was geared towards stopping him. There’s no one else you need to key in on, which is why Smart was wide open so much in that first half.

Nice forearm shiver from Durant on Tatum with no call.

Well, subpar game from Tatum and poor games from Kemba and Fournier and it was competitive down to the end.

Now Brad has to adjust and get Tatum and Kemba better looks for the next game.

Honestly, what IS Fournier's role exactly? I feel like he doesn't know either lol.

Fournier not aggressive enough

What other NBA coach lets his star player get hit in the face with no call and just goes about his business? Brad is sleeping through these games.

Pritchard gets 6 minutes while Kemba shoots 3 for 14.

He was getting cooked by Kyrie and Harden defensively
It's so obvious to anyone actually watching the game.

It's obvious to anyone who understands the game that Kemba is killing us - along with Tatum's never-ending iso. I do give credit to Tatum for his defensive effort - he is a tired player right now.

Tatum needs to decide that he isn’t going to be bullied by Durant.  They are going to try and physical Tatum out of his rhythm.  Tatum needs to play smart but he also needs to play agressive on both ends.

Smart shooting watch: 6-13 FGA, 3-8 3PA.

Fittingly, the Cs lost the game.

For those who always question this "unique" win loss indicator, i would tell you that Smart played well in the 1st half with 3-6  FGA and the Cs leading by 6.

Then he had  around 8 minutes starting the 3rd quarter when he went gung ho, chucking quick thres and went 0-4. That's when the lead quickly evaporated, the Cs were losing and he was a big part of it.

Then, of course, like what he always does, he started making the next 3 shots, keeping us in the game for some time.

He hasn't taken any shots since then, and the Cs eventually lost the game.

So are we seeing the guy who burned the house or the guy who tried to help the girl upstair (unsuccesfully)?

That's why you need Bane and Tillman!!!

I'm not too upset to be honest...the first half gave us a lot to build on. As usual because we shot well from 3 (9-17) we also defended well, and the Nets shooting 1-12 from 3 helped. My fear was that it would even out in the 2nd and it did, we shot 2-12 in the 2nd half to end up at 37% overall while the Nets shot 7-22 - still not that great but KD really elevated his game. Our problem has always been when we start missing it affects us defensively and it did, plus we started to turn the ball over. But still we were in it until they made one run too many and pushed the lead to 10 in like 40 seconds in the 4th, that was one defensive lapse too many.

Tatum needs to figure out how to impact the game when KD started following him around everywhere, he didn't have a field goal in the 2nd half. We need Kemba out of foul trouble, he was out of rhythm the whole game. And Fournier shot ok from 3 but not from anywhere else. We need more from him. Smart and Timelord were our best, they really fought hard, as did Kardashian.

On to game 2. TPs for all, it didn't go our way but I think we can compete with these guys.

There should have been an instant response to that cheap shot.  I don’t know if we have anyone on our team that is an enforcer, but KD should have been fouled hard after that.

Way to avoid answering his point. Pritchard is getting killed, at that point it's better to play your vet and hope for the best.

Your analytics is junk science if you think this loss was on smart.
