Don't count this team out against the Nets. Tatum is primed to take on Durant. Kyrie and Kemba is a wash, and Smart vs Harden is also a great matchup.

As far as the rest of the team goes, despite missing Jaylen, we have more upside with Rob Williams, Fournier, Nesmith, Pritchard, Langford and Kornet , but the Nets have much more experience. I think Kornet will get some key minutes in this series.

Kyrie and Kemba may be a wash defensively, but Kyrie offensively is on a different level. He was 50/40/90 player, only one in the NBA this year. If Timelord misses time due to his foot and Thompson has to start, the Best players to come off the C’s bench are two rookies.

I remember a couple of games when Kyrie was a Celtic and Kemba massively outplayed Kyrie. One where Kemba had like 50 and Kyrie was questioning Brad's coaching because he let Kemba go one on one with Kyrie.

I remember that game also

But Irving looks like is in better shape than he ever was as a Celtic

We will have to see what happens

It would be nice to have Kemba cause foul problems

Kyrie does look in better physical shape. Kemba is still a tough guy for Kyrie to guard and Kyrie can't really guard anyone else. You could hide him on Smart bet Smart could take him into the post.

Brad flourishes in these underdog match ups. Let’s see what he has under his sleeve against the powerhouse Nets.

Well I said if the Celts were going to win the play-in and make the first round only to get their butts kicked, I hoped it would be a result of Tatum playing out of his mind.

Mission accomplished.

Celts will need to push the pace... its probably the only hope

Tire the injured Nets. Especially big 3 (Harden, Durant)

Going toe to toe wont end well.

Yes, plus, he has more practice time to prepare for this series than he's had all season long. Give Brad several days of prep and his teams will be ready.

I would throw Nesmith, Langford and Tatum on Durant

Nesmith intensity might throw Durant off a little

Smart assigment is to bother chubby Harden

Kemba duel it out with Irving

Either Nets win by 15 or Celts squeak out 2 point wins  ;D

If the Celts are gonna go down swinging against the Nets I hope Tatum averages 40+ per game in a mirror of what Embiid did against the Celts last year.

And I hope the Celts have a similar rebound year next season after some offseason changes much like the Sixers did this year.

Did the qualitative stuff I brought up about Fournier in previous threads rear its head tonight? Slept past the game and saw that playoff Fournier was in full force tonight in the box score.
