Yeah, I mean what if CP3's injury was actually serious and the Suns went on to lose CP3 the rest of the series, and lost the series too. What'd be the headlines then? "Dominant Lebron and the Lakers"?

Oh if Embiid can't go they probably will lose to the Hawks and that will be a major narrative following the series. 

The Celtics are different in that even if they had everyone fully healthy, they probably would have still lost to the Nets who still would have had the 2 best players in the series.

The Celtics were a middling team all season while the Lakers were the 2nd best team in the West when their injuries happened.  They just had different ceilings when fully healthy, which is why they are talked about differently.

Exactly. I was trying to get stats but from this link, it seems Kemba, Tatum, Brown and Smart barely played together while healthy this year. Anyone have the actual totals where at least one person was missing? The link below says it barely happened at all.

Those four guys played 292 minutes together this year, but it's hard to say how many of those minutes featured all four being anywhere close to healthy.  Very few.

Kemba was really never healthy all year. 

Smart injured his calf at the end of January.

Tatum got COVID in January.

Brown had tendonitis in his left knee since at least February.



Comparison:

LeBron and AD played 601 minutes together this season.  More than double.

LA being denied #18 made the playoffs that much better. Now hopefully MKE can put the nets away and evil will have been 100% vanquished.

True but we did have at least one stretch in April where we were actually healthy and we looked like a top team. Unfortunately we did not have many games where we were close to a fully healthy roster, or at least as close to fully healthy as you get in a season.

True but we did have at least one stretch in April where we were actually healthy and we looked like a top team. Unfortunately we did not have many games where we were close to a fully healthy roster, or at least as close to fully healthy as you get in a season.

Yeah, I mean, we were never healthy from the beginning of the season until the end except for that brief stretch in the April, so the comparison to the Lakers record early in the season is meaningless.
