Finally! Nesmith great effort.

He was a madman

Intense player

Love it

TL, Tatum, Nesmith, Brown, PP = future

I’d love to see Neismith take over Smart or Kemba’s starting slot. He seems to play better with the starters. And Smart/Kemba could be solid for the bench. It probably won’t happen though.
this board can be entertaining. how long ago was it that folks were roasting nesmith as a bust and ainge a dumb butt for taking him in the draft?

i liked what nesmith did tonight, especially his getting back to stop long passes near the celtic basket. great effort.

but he is a rookie and his play is inconsistent and will probably have a lot so of ups and downs.

still, good to see him do well tonight.

Nesmith production will be inconsistent. But his effort is consistently grade A+

For this, he is a wicked player

He also doesn't "force shots"  and plays within his capability

We need energy players off our bench. Nesmith is one that plays hard.

I know Fournier has struggled badly, but I support Brad's decision to keep playing him. His body of work is really good, he will progress to the mean.

Right now, his body of work is a hot mess
I’m most surprised by his lack of attack off the dribble. He doesn’t really seem to be a threat to get by his guy and create any kind of offense. Can’t picture how he averaged 20ppg without being able to do that. But honestly I never watched the Magic
Defences in the modern game just don't quite turn it up until the playoffs - Fournier got a lot of clean looks that were taken away in the playoffs, bumping up his RS numbers.

I've been sounding like a broken record about the bolded ever since he got traded to us and I got ridiculed because 'hurr he's a 19 PPG scorer' lol.

You realized he's coming off COVID right? But keep feeling superior because of a disease.

Only two players on the C’s had a negative +/-. Waters and Grant Williams. Interesting...

You do realise that really good players don't suddenly start dropping triple singles (obviously the box score isn't all-encompassing, but it's a huge part of the impact of an offensively-inclined player like Fournier) even after Covid right? But keep on being in denial and claim that I'm feeling superior to deflect from my point that he's not as good as his RS numbers on the Magic suggest (it doesn't even mean that he's crap, a good player doesn't necessarily need to be producing like a star) because you're eating massive crow on Fournier

According to who? You? Not saying it's the case, but I wouldn't be so smug about something that no one has a clue about.

Less Grant is always good. CBS could not help himself and put himself in.   I thought Waters got us playing up temp in the beginning but got careless in the second half at times.

Nesmith is fiery and tries, he can be a little out of control though.  I thought he brought some good energy and it is clear he cares from his attitude and demeanor.  Nice to see him have a good game.

I think the J's came out and set the tone.   This made a big difference and having what 25 points in the paint in the first quarter helped us as we were not just shooting threes.

Weird that we essentially had an 8-man rotation w/ Kemba and Smart out. No Romeo, Ojeleye, Parker, Kornet, or Grant (only 35 seconds). With talk about Romeo getting more time on ball, it's interesting he didn't play at all w/ most of our PG rotation missing.

Loved seeing Nesmith succeed tonight. His offense was 'okay', but his defense and hustle were the real story. If he keeps it up on that side of the ball and can keep getting some easy/open shots on offense, it will be hard to keep him off the court.

Jaylen was killing it and Tatum with a 'quiet' 35/8/8. Not the greatest win, but happy we were able to pull it out.

I think Grant only played 36 seconds to end the 1st half, probably so Thompson or Timelord don't pick up a dumb foul before the half. That type of use, you really can't complain about, not that you are. If both Rob Williams and Thompson are playing well, I don't see Grant getting minutes, unless it like this, which I am sure many will be thrilled about.

Interesting to see who Stevens didn't use last night. Romeo, Grant(for the most part), Parker, Semi, Kornet and Edwards. With only 10 games left, including this one, Stevens appears to have let the scrubs sit and play the guys that will be playing in the playoffs. Of course, Waters won't be playing then.
