Celtics look like a tired team who know they are not good enough to win a title. That has been the expectation since the 2018 run to the ECF when Tatum and Brown, as very young players, performed beyond expectations and put the Celts back into the contender conversation for the first time since the Garnett era. Then - the last two seasons ended in disappointment with Irving's meltdown, the unexpected exits of Horford and Hayward and the awful loss to Miami in last year's playoffs. Morale and confidence has taken a hit. Seems they have to work much harder now for wins and maybe the voice of Brad Stevens has grown stale. It can be difficult to grind out wins when the players (along with the GM) don't believe they can reach their ultimate goal anymore and are not sure how to get there.
