Exactly. It's these types of things that just drive me nuts about this guy. He can be so brilliant in certain things and then completely brain-dead in others.
I guess the the question is who else would be able to run that? Not like they have much options.

Why is the best offensive player in bounding the ball?

Brilliant, Brad. Getting the ball to a 50% foul shooter. Wow.

Yeah, the play call was actually a great set-up, but that's a complete brain fart having GWill be the person to catch it. Dude almost always blows late-game free throws. Bad, bad decision by him there. Should've saw that coming.
it's not even about that. It's the very principal that we needed a 3 and we gave the ball to a 50% FT shooter in the bonus.

That's what I'm saying. They were obviously going to foul, so the decision to go to Grant was mind-blowing knowing he'd have to knock down free throws.

If anything, in those kinds of situations I think a Tatum iso would've been better, as if they fouled him then that's likely two  near certain points from the line. But even putting Theis or Teague  instead of GWill there would've been a much better decision.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Agreed. Carsen Edwards is also a good free-throw shooter....

I'm as tired as The Celtics players after that one.

Don’t want to beat a dead horse.  But how many of you think that we would have won tonight if IT was running the point besides Teague and Waters.  It’s almost like Teague has forgot how to play the game of basketball.

Fox would've had 35, so not sure

Hard fought game short handed on the second night of a back to back on the road. Tough loss. Too bad they had Grant Williams trying to make the handoff on that last play.

How bad can Nesmith be that he couldn't shoot better than Teague's 1-6 or Waters' 1-8. Is Nesmith Danny's guy and Brad just wants nothing to do with him?

I'm afraid that all these narrow losses that should have been wins will stack up against us when the playoff seedings are determined. Celtics can't afford to be playing 76ers or Bucks in the 1st round.

Did not like our rotations at all tonight. Just garbage. Thompson plays his best 3 quarters this year, nearly dropping 20/10, and he is benched for the 4th. We persevered with Teague and Waters over Nesmith and Ojeleye despite the former two being utter garbage all game. Just terrible moves by our coach

The Celtics were a dumb team tonight. They literally willed the Kings to victory. Dumb, stupid, idiotic. Clownish even. They embarrassed themselves. Again.

That play at the end of the 3rd was catastrophically stupid. So were a lot of the senseless double teams that led to wide open 3s.

What a horrible, draining loss. This team is going nowhere unless they find some mental composure. They lost tonight for the same reasons they lost the ECF last year. At some point these mental errors and the proclivity for choking are a reflection on the coach.

We all know the bench is the downfall of this team but not having Walker and Smart is tough
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Tremont Waters is JUST AWFUL. Makes bad decisions - takes bad shots. He can't hit the side of a barn with his shot. Man time to dump this kid. Yes he made one good pass last night in desperation as he drove himself under the backboard and was swallowed up but it certainly wasn'y his plan. He just stinks.

I have to say it is depressing watching Haliburton and Herro torch us when they were so within our grasp. It is compounded by the fact that the players we got instead are either perpetually injured or don't understand the basic concepts of basketball. Of course things can turn around for Romeo and Nesmith, but, man, how many picks did we have the last couple of drafts? Are you telling me we couldn't trade up 1-2 picks to grab even just one of them?

Pritchard hardly has the ceiling of either of those guys due to his size, but we are really banking all of our hopes on him moving forward.
