The quiet/weird stat of the night...only three shots for Marcus (all missed).

Theis , Tompson and Tatum playing together ...Finally looks like a NBA sized team

does cbs finally admit size matters

I was thinking a bunch of guys on this board must’ve been happy when they saw the starting lineup. Thompson-Theis-Tatum-Brown-Smart.

Great win.  Lucky win, but great win.

Jaylen Brown played like a superstar.  33/5/4, 0 TOs.  I've never seen him run offense as effectively as he did tonight, and the fact that he did it against a contender-caliber team was great to see.

Tatum frustrated me.  He clanked a lot of pretty easy layups, and I hated the iso-ball that he played down the stretch.  He'll probably work through the former as the season goes on.  I hope the same happens with the latter, but it's been an issue for long enough now that I'm less optimistic on that front.  But I'm also complaining about a guy who went for 30/7, sooo...

Thompson and Teague made a difference for us.

It was a playoff game. All hands on deck. Celtic's defense was tops.

Great win for the new guys. So glad that bubble crap is over.

Eh, you're also going to get a lot more of the things we've seen tonight with Houston/OKC and postponements.

Teague and Thompson sneaky good signings.

Once Kemba is healthy and back teagues gonna be a great 4th option.

Thompson's rebounds and defense are just what we were missing last year

Refs are ruining the league.  Terrible call at the end of the game.  The calls for the stars make the game a joke!

Great game which then comes down to a lucky shot, a flop/bad call, and then a choke.

Ok,  we won

I don't know how they called that foul on TT.  That was ridiculous. Giannis held his arm

whatever, good win

clutch by Tatum

they didn't see a foul...they ve been trained to give the call to the biggest star in any close situation,  it's obvious unspoken rule they will never be put down for by the nba ,  it helps sell tickets and make stars more famous and thats more money in everybody's pocket ....but the losing teams

The expectations for JT are crazy. Puts up 30/7 and was panned all game, lol

In fairness, he took 28 shots, and he started ice cold. A lot of the chatter came when he was 3-13, and ball-stopping. Two assists for the game.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

4th option? Dude started the All-Star game last year. Feel free to be optimistic about Tatum and Brown, but there is nobody else even close to being ahead of him in the hierarchy.

Heck of a way to start the season!! Smart, Brown, Teague, Tatum, lot's of contributors.

I'm also impressed with the quality of basketball from both teams in game 1 after such a short training camp and preseason. That was almost playoff level basketball.
TP. This is spot on.

Win or lose they looked like the team from the bubble - and got nice boosts from both Teague and Thompson. They looked like they didn't have their legs in the 4th when Milwaukee got back in it but managed to recover. And Brad had Teague on the floor at the end which I thought was a great move.

Great start to the season - and maybe a little surprising.

Not a great game from Jayson and he had 30.  Tatum is going to look like a superstar a few games in.  Jaylen showed the next level Jaylen tonight.

Liked Theis-Williams-TT tonight.   And Teague!  And Semi!
