I like Fox.

But dang we now live in a world where players like Fox get freakin' 200M  :o

Seems high, right. That’s superstar money and who are they bidding against here?
Its 5yr/163M with with clause for SuperMax potential (5yr/196M) based on performance.

Per Bobby Marks, the performance clause is based on making All-NBA:
30% - 1st team (196M)
28%- 2nd team  (183M)
26%- 3rd team  (170M)

Per Andrew Lopez, Favors headed back to Utah.  Per Bobby Marks, 3rd year is team option.

Jaylen Brown got like half that.

Favors apparently got their MLE.

I feel like the Jazz are putting themselves in no man's land.  They have enough talent to bow out in the early rounds of the playoffs every year, but not enough to contend.

Their only shot is that Donovan Mitchell evolves into a Wade-esque top 5 player.  But while I like the kid, I don't see that upside for him.

I don't think Detroit signing two centers means Wood is gone. They can play him at PF. He played there next to Drummond, didn't he?

He did, but he was pretty inefficient. They also have Griffin and Doumbouya who I see as PFs

You can say that. Why does Favors settle for that???
He should be getting a contract somewhere like Clarkson got.

Edit: didn't know it was the full non-taxpayer MLE. It's almost 30/3.
Still a good deal for Utah.

Yeah even Wade couldn’t do it alone, he had Shaq and then Bron.

I feel like stretch 4 is his ideal position, actually.  He doesn't have enough bulk to play the 5 full time.

Daniel Theis - who already struggles against the more physical centers of the league - has 30 pounds on Wood.
