Good news: I don't think we can lay a bigger egg than that 1st quarter.

Bad news: This team loves to surprise me in all the worst ways.

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle

another soft quarter in the books. cannot comprehend why these guys aren’t playing like their season is on the line.

we have about 1 or 2 guys out there who look like they realize the situation the team is in.
this was garbage execution on offense for almost the whole first quarter.  They look like a HS team that doesn't know how to attack a zone.

They switched to man and we never adjusted.  Jaylen only one with intensity.

Too much heat on Stevens. These guys haven’t given the effort of a team that cares enough about going any further. When your best player looks disinterested what do you expect?

I mean, that's on Stevens. Not having your team ready to play in a conference finals closeout game is completely on Stevens and part of the coach's responsibility.

What’s he supposed to do exactly in this situation though? If guys aren’t giving max effort do you sit them and put in really mediocre bench guys? This team is too young and dumb honestly. This team was going to go as far as Tatum took them.

It's a longitudinal problem that has been set by bad habits and a lack of accountability by Brad all season long. When your players don't respect you and you don't hold them accountable all season long, this is what happens.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Why does 90% of Tatum's shots have to be fading? Take the easy squared up shot!

JT not backing up his talk. After saying his first half last game was inexcusable, here he is coasting along in a do or die game. Just at least show some fight!!
He’s soft and ready to go home

We’re defending grimly at least, we just need one good run and we’re back into this

Yeah, that wasn't the question.

Heat are playing smart, on both ends. Good discipline too.
We're not pushing them to the limit to provoke some silly mistakes.
And 18 points scored in the 1Q in an elimination game... Come on, guys, you are much better than that.

That's what you think - they will finally lose by 20 to make this series look like it wasnt that close afterall

Speaking of which yeah we got bonus and they decided to shoot a three instead of taking it all the way in - unreal brains

Gotta give the Heat a lot of credit, their defense was insanely good.  Still, we had way too many mental lapses that quarter.  We look poorly coached.

Brad better look at himself in the mirror if their season ends tonight. Whatever he’s been telling the guys, surely it hasn’t been sinking in. Has he been tuned out by his players?
