kemba accelerating to beat the mid-court trap is exactly what he wasn’t doing during his “slump” and stymied the offense. he beats it and makes a quick pass, which opens up the offense tremendously.

Sorry....maybe im a homer but duncan robinson threw his chin into that elbow and exaggerated the contact
He absolutely did, wonder where the personal space rule was. Perhaps Jaylen isn't entitled to it
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Let’s play smart defense. No foul on 3 point attempt

I don’t have a problem with that Smart shot. C’s can’t find a good shot against this team right now and they need an easy bucket. Easy foul call too

This Celtics team is pathetic. Even if they win (which is still doubtful), they have completely shot what little confidence I had in them.

These last two mins have been pathetic... they literally can’t close games. I’ve been a CBS guy for a long time but this is a bad trend and at some point you have to point to the coach...

I dunno, this is the conf finals, Miami is TOUGH.  They aren't just going to roll over.

I say this as a guy who thinks the rules are slanted too far towards the offense...

But I hate that call with all of my soul.  Don't protect a player who doesn't protect himself.  If you don't want to get hit in the chin, don't put your chin in the offensive player's space.  This is ridiculous.
Yup.

The NBA just can't get this rule right.

The cylinder rule makes sense. The offensive player has to have a little room to move his arms.

You're creating a culture of flopping

Tatum nearly messed that up majorly by not making the first pass.

Anyone clued in as to why Butler sat out?

Man the Celtics offense gets so bad late. I know Jaylen turned it over on that last one, but they literally left him in the corner all 4th quarter while Tatum and Kemba take turns isolating. AGAIN. how many times are they going to do this before they realize its TERRIBLE OFFENSE. Jaylen has been breaking down the MIA D all day with his drives, dont just park him in the corner. The only reaosn they might still win this is becasue they were up by enough their terrible offense didnt matter.

It is clear now that CBS is not a good closer
Lol this is on the players who have gone away from what was working

Players are in the heat of the game.... Coach should call TO to steady the ship.

But if the players go away from what's working, the coach needs to call a timeout and order them to get back to what was working.

Exactly no clue why he doesn’t call timeouts... you need to refocus the team when you see them slipping.

Need to stop playing "prevent basketball" late in the game. These young guys don't seem to realize that they are disrupting their own rhythm by slowing things down.
