That's not his (and the nba's) philosophy. If you basically have a 100% chance to score a two vs a 35% chance to score on a three you take the two. If it was Tatum taking that 3 or steph curry the three is a good shot
Yeah, I was being sarcastic, and totally think they should take the open layups instead of threes. But I wonder if what we're seeing here is the downside of Brad's (and the NBA's) insistence on taking an abundance of threes—that is, guys getting the idea that no 3pt shot is a bad shot, and that it's always worth trying to get that extra point, even if the 2-pointer is virtually guaranteed with an open layup.
