Still can't fathom that Kemba only had 9 shot attempts tonight.

He's been our best player this series and only took 9 shots??

Kemba agrees:

He agreed after the game? That does not count. Didnt a coach pull him aside and tell him they needed more from him?

Been watching Celtics playoffs games since the 60's.

If you want to go home at 2-2? Knock yourself out.

1984? Your kidding right? Lakers win game one 115-109 in the freaking Garden? Game three Lakers destroy us 137 - 104...they're up 2-1....they have home court now? Celtics win in 7.

In 1974 Milwaukee and the Celtics are tied 2-2 in the finals. In the 7th game Kareem hit 26 pts, but Cowens got 28 and Hondo 16...Celtics win another title. Boston was on fire for that series. Johnny Most was on every radio everywhere....Tommy Heinsohn had the biggest lapels and sideburns in the world.

Are you kidding me two to two?

This thing hasn't even started yet. Three game series coming up.
Great post. I agree, it definitely isn't over, and the hot takes on this thread have been ridiculous (by people who barely posy on here, I might add). I just need to see some mental fortitude out there. We look like we're playing like zombies.

Yeah, game threads work better if you ignore about 75-80% of the posts, which are basically the same post, by the same people (who also appear to have extremely limited basketball acumen) fans, ad nauseam. The rest of it is good though.

there, I fixed that for you.

Nah, I stand by my original comment.

lol ..I dont think it works like that.   lol

Give Toronto credit, they took the ball out of Walker and Tatum's hands for the most part and forced Brown, Smart, Theis, Semi and Wanamaker to beat them.

Stevens has to make adjustments to get shots for his guys.

Well, we lost but I believe in our team, we didn't defend well, especially the 3 point line, anyway if we have shooted around 30%(3 more threes) witch isn't great we would've won it. I expect boston to play better next game and give us the 3-2 lead!

So much negativism!!

Bad shooting is what it is, a few too many turnovers though.

I rarely pin this on Brad, but I feel like he really needs to come up with some adjustments to Nurse's excellent defensive adjustments.

Brad's ability to counter act Nick Nurse's defensive schemes will decide this series. Kemba and Tatum also need to be much more aggressive.
BUT MOST IMPORTANT CELTICS HAVE TO STOP GIVING UP OPEN 3s

Celtics might still be a hit too young to understand how to win this series - we’ll see.

Toronto basically tightened the defensive screws and increases their physicality - they’re a gritty, tough, Wiley veteran team with championship experience. The Celtics are basically shrinking from the moment, choking, moping and wining. What they need to do is grab their cahones and man up - meet the mental, physical challenge being thrust upon them. If they don’t they’ll get swept because Toronto is very quickly acquiring real estate n their collective heads.

This performance was eerily reminiscent of Game 7 versus the Cavs. Stephens and the players choked massively.

Lastly, Hayward would “really” help in this series. I said to a friend during the Philky series it will be tough to beat Toronto without Hayward. He just adds another wrinkle Toronto has to deal with, helping to free up other players.

We can still win it but Celts have to grow up quickly between now and next game.

We got too high and now we're all too low....

Predictable iso garbage... for Kemba or Tatum or Brown

High screen and blitz. Or quick collapse close to the basket

How about letting the bench shoot a little more??

Gwill please score the buckets yourself sometimes. Wide open. Stop passing way back ... back to the high screen.

It is now a best of 3 scenario.

Both teams already know pretty much of how every player does after 4 games been played.

Let's us now watch our beloved Celts would do and see how they adjust to every play and adapt to the pressure. Are they really ECF title contenders?

It would be nice if half our bench wasn't unplayable or at least Brad thinks so.

I'd agree that outside of Wanamaker and Robert Williams, our current bench is unplayable.  Grant Williams is ok in limited minutes, but we were already weak as a bench before Hayward went down. That took Smart out of our bench group. Langford's not ready and also has a torn ligament in his shooting hand. Kanter, we saw what happened when he plays in the last game. Semi is awful, I cringe whenever he gets the ball. That's basically it. Guys like Waters and Edwards and Taco should not be in consideration to see the floor in a playoff series.
