I’m fine with Tacko being put in there but not in the ball. Step back and spread the arms to guard the three point shot right there on the wing. Play 4 on 4 with Tackos length literally cutting off that entire space.

Hated that Brad kept force feeding Tatum. Kemba was gassed but he needed the ball in the last minutes thirty.

And Brown should be p’d. That last play is solely on him.

The Kanter thing still just has me fuming, as it didn't make any sense whatsoever and was so predictable what was going to happen. They literally targeted Kanter every time and got Kyle and FVV going that way. Just no sense in it.

That said, I think Brad has been as good as he's ever been thus far in the playoffs. Just unfortunate that he made that gamble for whatever reason.

ya it was so predictable, and given how good Robert Williams III has been I just dont get it. he's better at kanter, on offense, let alone defense.

Jaylen is totally p---ed with himself, really wants to play game 4 like right now:

Jaylen and Theis.  What are you doing?  they should have just let Van Vleet shoot as he would of had to do a turnaround 3 pt shot. Theis just standing there guarding nobody

really poor execution

And putting in Tako.. I mean really? why?

CBS should have placed a different player  and not guard Lowry, be that extra D player to help guard others on the floor

Robert Williams (or Theis) could have been in to guard the rim and let Brown, Tatum, Smart and Walker play the zone defense around that. I really don't put this on Brown. If he had gone to Anunoby then Gasol probably had a free run to the rim for an alley-oop. The close-out by Brown on Anunoby was actually really good. Why were Tatum and Theis both going towards the space where VanVleet went? Some serious miscommunication there by multiple guys. And I didn't like seeing Fall coming in, just felt as too smart for your own good. Like playing Kanter against the zone defense of the Raptors in the 3rd  that totally gave the Raptors a rhytm on offense.

More Robert Williams please!

If it had gone to 3-0 then the biggest story of this series would have been Brown shutting down Siakam as being the difference maker.

I agree on this. Stevens made a mistake with Kanter and this zone defense on the last play, but overall it has been a masterclass of coaching. Can't believe we just swept Philadelphia and for now our ultra weak bench still hasn't cost us a game.

Okay here's the best explanation I've seen here. Theis and Tatum most end up covering van fleet, leaving gasol all alone in the paint except for Brown. Theis then feints back to gasol but too late. So either its a wide open Gasol look, or a contested three from OG.

Give me a wide-open Gasol look or even foul him than OG taking that 3

Yep. Literally the only way you lose this game is from a 3 point shot, so you stop that at all costs. No questions. They were in foul trouble, so we had the advantage if it went to overtime.

Its easy  to say that, but no self respecting NAB player is gonna watch a guy roll to the rim right in from of them without at least trying to stop it. Not in that situation. Then brown NEARLY recovered enough to block the three.

I think this will be something that makes this Celtics team even stronger going forward. They will refocus and come out stronger, and will pay more attention to the details at all times.

I wish we didn’t have anyone cover the pass in. Brad tried to get cute with Tacko and it backfired.
