I don’t think PG has ever really recovered from that double shoulder surgery. He seems Kyrie-like in his aversion to contact - his FT Rate is down ~6%, near his career low levels
Will give him an extra season to prove that this is a recovery year - with advancements in technology it's hard to believe that a superstar is wilting at age 29-31 even after surgery. Still had a really good season this year though, most of his raw counting stats are down because of reduced minutes and still look good on a per possession basis.

As a Celtic Fan I must appreciate the way Paul George reached out to support our own Gordon Hayward after Gordon's horrific leg break. Gordon spoke many times about this.

I honestly think the clippers have so many names but not enough chemistry. After today's loss Doc is questioning their emotional strength which is not a good sign

His offensive game is overrated. Gets put on too high a pedestal. People expect too much of him.

I know I did back in his early days in Indiana on those Roy Hibbert David West teams. PG13 just could not handle the offensive responsibility he needed to have for those teams to get over the top. And he still has not addressed those flaws.

Still a darn good player but not as reliable a scorer as you'd like (due to lack of easy hoops & FTs from driving, limited midrange game and over-reliance on long distance shooting) and only a low level playmaker.

His defense is better than his offense. High level defender with an above average (but nowhere near elite) offensive game.

You hit the nail on the head.  My natural assumption was that he hasn't been quite the same offensive player since his pre-injury days with the Pacers.  It turns out that PG3 has always been wildly inconsistent in the postseason.  I just took a look back at every playoff game PG3 has played starting in 2012-13 (his breakout season).  He has shot under 40% from the field in 32 of 65 of those games.  PG3 has been an inefficient playoff scorer regardless of team, role, or matchup.

For comparison sake, Tatum has only failed to hit the 40% mark in 7 of 32 playoff games.  Jimmy Butler has failed in 12 out of 35 since he originally broke out in Chicago.

Paul Pierce failed to his this mark in 40% of his playoff games as a Celtic, during an era where the lack of shooting and spacing made it more difficult to score with efficiency.  Prime Pierce would have been so much more efficient in todays game.  Even Carmelo failed only 45% of the time in his pre-OKC/HOU playoff games.

40% is obviously an arbitrary number that doesn't account for threes or free throws, but I figured it was a decent cutoff to compare all-star wings.  I didn't even bother to look at KD or Kawhi because they are on a whole different level.
