Carlisle with some really poor coaching decisions down the stretch. Leaving Kawhi un-doubled in the 4th when he's just doing whatever he wants is dumb

In fairness, he just did it on that trip and Jackson hit a three instead.  Then again on the next possession... dunk for Zubac.

Sometimes the other team is just better than you, no matter which buttons you press.  It is what it is.
You're right, but with the way Curry was playing defence he should not have featured that deep into the 4th, given he hasn't been much on offence the last two games.

Ah well, good run for the Mavs given Porzingis was hurt and ejected for nothing

Hopefully the Mavs get a healthy Dwight Powell and Porzingis back for next year's playoffs, and also add to their roster.

Yeah, Powell was an underrated loss for them. Great high-energy big.

They are going to have some serious cap space soon too. Could be very interesting

I think if they could get Saadiq Bey in this draft he'd be perfect for them....at pick 18.  They also have pick 31...will WCS be back with them?

(I'm okay with Bey for the C's at 14 too btw...)

Pretty impressive playoff debut for Luka.  Mavs has a memorable bubble stay.

KP got ejected in Game 1, then got hurt and missed the rest of the series. Unfortunately that just really hurt Dallas at the end. But they had a fantastic time in the bubble and Luka showed that he's the "next big thing" IMO. Pat Beverley will return and if PG13 can do better and keep it up, Clips will reach the Finals. Kawhi is still Kawhi.

Theoretically, they can make a push for Giannis next summer. Imagine Luka + Giannis + Porzingis playing for the same team? The Mavs would become the next NBA dynasty!

Fwiw, here's a photo of Porzingis playing streetball with Giannis (and Thanasis) in downtown Athens a few years ago.

Apparently, the 2 of them are good friends. If Giannis decides to leave Milwaukee (which is a big if), the Mavs may be his best option.

Wow, yeah, at that point you dont even need Porzingis to stay healthy. Luka and Giannis would be contenders for a decade. The Lakers wouldn't sniff the finals again for a very long time.

Yeah, for me Dallas and Miami are fast emerging as leading candidates for Giannis if he wants to leave.

Luka & Giannis would be like LeBron teaming up with Shaq in his prime - unfair. Kristaps is just the cherry on top, but they could easily trade him for a defensive-minded wing if they wanted to, as the Luka-Giannis duo would just be ridiculous.

Clippers fought off the Mavericks to stay alive in the postseason. But if PG13 can play well and when Patrick Beverley returns, they are a force to be reckoned with.

Now they wait for Jazz/Nuggets. Clippers-Jazz is going to be interesting.

Don't count out the Nuggets just yet.

Seeing the way Niang plods around the court makes it really hard for me to comprehend that he's in the NBA. Seems as unathletic as anyone I've ever seen

You never saw Acie Earl and Eric Montross play back in the day?

Bit young to see Earl, but Montross is actually who Niang resembles to me, if Montross was a wing. Just lumbering around without any real pronounced skill
