I wish Celtics drafted Herro
I'm fine with missing out on Herro. His T-Rex arms help him excel at shooting, but make him a below average defender.

height w/o shoes: 6' 4.5''
height w/ shoes: 6' 6''
wingspan: 6' 3.25''

Desmond Bane 6'6" w/shoes
wingspan 6'5"
44% from 3
220lbs

"Desmond Bane (6-5, 22, TCU)
I have already done some work on Bane, who I believe will be one of the best role players to emerge from this class. As a senior, Bane shot 44.2% from the outside, and he did so on 6.5 attempts per game. Those numbers helped Bane reach the 96th percentile in half-court opportunities. Bane also did all of that while being the top option for TCU, and a guy that spent a rather significant amount of time on the ball. With somebody else creating for him, and teams likely to have to focus on stopping better offensive weapons, there’s a decent chance Bane feasts on open looks in the pros.

On top of his ability to space the floor, Bane is also a decent creator off the dribble. And he’s also a remarkable team defender, which is why I believe he’ll be one of the best values of this draft."
There are other examples too. For instance, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk of the Pistons.

height w/o shoes: 6'6.5"
height w/ shoes: 6'7.75"
wingspan: 6'4.75"
3P% this season: 40.4 in 5.1 attempts per game

If you ask me, I'd rather have S. Bey or Nesmith over Bane.

S. Bey and Nesmith are proable better long term pospects.

This Lakers game is showing us how important vets off the bench are in the playoffs. Rondo and Morris are the difference so far tonight.

The only real VET on the Celtics is Kemba.

I would add Hayward and Smart to that list

Also Kanter? Unfortunately, he's been a liability on the floor this series.
@Ogaju

Not sure what "real" vet means, but we also have Theis + Wanamaker.

Westbrook fouling out could be the best thing for the Rockets.

Of course, the Lakers would win that challenge. How a blocking foul should be a "charge" and then became a loose ball foul on Russell Westbrook lol ::)

Yeah, that was perplexing to say the least. Rondo was dancing a little bit while trying to gain position - surprised they overturned it and even more surprised they called a loose-ball foul. Let's go Rockets!

My bad ... Wannamaker is a vet, but Theis is too fresh to be a real vet.

Smart's been in the league for 6 years now, and is the longest tenured Celtic. He's still not a vet?

How old is Smart? He is a Vet but not a seasoned Vet. I define vet in this case as a player who has pretty much made his money and just hanging around the league to either win a championship, mentor younger players, or build wealth.

It's a shame how this one played out, but HOU gave a solid effort. LAL really zeroed in on Harden and Westbrook was shooting blanks tonight. I forgot how many previously well-known players the Lakers have on their roster. No AB, no McGee, no problem. They don't even play Dudley, Smith, Howard, or Waiters. Just have to hope they crash and burn at some point before the Finals.
