Is there a defensive specialist in this year's draft that can guard small quick guards? We could use one.

I think I wouldve wanted some minutes from Waters to go to Edwards tonight. He was just bad tonight.

Timelord with 6 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 stl, 0 TOs, and a + 14 in just 14 minutes. Good things happen when he's on the floor.
Perhaps most importantly, didnít look lost at all on either end.

Kanter was a menace on the boards too. Looks like heís getting his legs back under him too

Gutsy win on the road with 3 of our studs out.

And The upstart BKN Nets are getting their behinds handed to them by MEM right now - at home.

#perspective
The perspective is it makes last night's loss even more embarrassing. For the 2nd night in a row, we made a JAG look like Michael Jordan.

But we're not in a position to turn our nose up at any wins.

Okay, I am ready for Carsen Edwards - can't be worse than Smart and at least has the potential to go off. He is a spark plug, too.
I will take a bad Smart over a good Edwards every day of the week.
Just thought this bares repeating.

I guess, but Smart was absolutely dreadful through mid-3rd quarter. It couldn't have been worse with Edwards out there for Smart's minutes up to that point in the game. But, yeah, as I noted in a later post, I was looking forward to Smart coming back (for Waters) and he mostly redeemed himself. Nice effort and happy he stopped forcing things.
Nah. I am firmly of the belief that Carsen Edwards could have been worse, possibly much worse.

You probably should correct your original statement then. I suppose Edwards has the potential to be worse (although I don't see it. Smart was just atrocious at that point), but you specifically said 'good Edwards.' That just doesn't make any sense. Sorta weird to pump yourself up over a questionable comment made at a time when Smart was probably the worst player on the court.
My response was in response to you saying: "It couldn't have been worse with Edwards out there for Smart's minutes up to that point in the game."

At that point I was just dealing with what reality could have been. I don't believe a good Edwards is better than a bad Smart. So a good Edwards probably wouldn't have played better than Smart. But, we seldom see good Edwards so the reality is my response: "I am firmly of the belief that Carsen Edwards could have been worse, possibly much worse."

My only concern with Williams is his freethrow shooting. If he can at least get out of the Hack a Shaq level it would help a lot.

This didn't age well:

"Celtics injuries: Jayson Tatum back, but won't have much help vs. Cavs

For sure. Hopefully JB gives him pointers

As much as some here love to complain about how other teams always have players that suddenly have "superstar" nights, know you aren't alone. I am sure there is a Cavs blog somewhere that is complaining about how they make even scrubs look like superstars, as they whine about how they lost because of Semi Ojeleye. I am also sure a lot of those fans are misspelling Ojeleye, too!!!

What you say is true but I do think we are missing a player that can at least slow down quick guards. Jaylen does a pretty good job when he's healthy. Smart is better moving up and guarding bigger guys than moving down playing smaller quicker guys.

Tatum has shot just 77% or so since late January. It's like the only number he had that went down for that amazing month.
He's probably got less in his legs than he's used to given the increased workload.

I remember Pierce adjusted his stance late career to compensate for less legs after playing in games. I'm confident Tatum will figure it out and get back to his normal FT% in the low 80s.
