The Celtics starter outscoring Lakers starter.

But key to the game is the bench, and that's where the Lakers bench are killing Boston and their bench.

What a BEAST Tatum is becoming. And this team just battles. No Kemba and only down 2 at halftime

Tatum’s evolution is raising this team’s ceiling to legit title contender... just wish we could get some scoring off the bench.

Agreed. I hope he can keep this up. I am getting excited!

I have been impressed with the C's overall.  There have been a couple of times that if we didn't gut it out on def for a couple of stops, or find a way to score that the lead could have been double digits easy.

I like our intensity today, just got to keep grinding on def and don't let them get easy off rebounds / putbacks.

Lakers have competent bench players when their stars come out......we don't!  Why we won't get anywhere in playoffs!

jaylen with 3 steals in the first half doesn't hurt.

I know we would rather have Kemba, but the def combo of Brown and Smart in the backcourt is really good.  Makes us way more switchable vs the Lakers length which helps.

Anyone hear Breen saying that we're a bad FT shooting team? I checked and we're top 6. You can really see that these national broadcast commentators have no idea what they're talking about and are just following the narrative.

Neither one of those guys is on their game at all... it isn't hard to look up stats and have them at your desk while you call the game.
Lazy.

They tell too many stories about themselves. Really irritates me now. I like Tommy and his stories but he tells stories about all the people / players he has known over the years. These guys just tell stories about one another.

Gets tiresome after the first 10 years!

Down 2 with no Kemba? I'll take it.

Smart is our main 6th man but plays as starter due to injury.

If you include TimeLord, Kanter and hopefully an improved Langford next year then those will be our bench next season.

I agree. The real problem is when Smart sits.

Jaylen had a good half.  A couple of forced shots and a visible defensive error when he allowed Caruso to get a free layup.  Aside from that, he played well.

Rondo played really well, Kanter was atrocious. I don’t think rondo does it again and I think Kanter is done for the day.

Not sure how anyone can be upset with that half of basketball. Both teams playing good, hard, tough playoff caliber basketball. Celtics are on the road without their All-Star PG versus the team with the 2nd best record in the league and trail at the half by a basket. I am thrilled with what I have seen this far
