Drummond to Cavs lololol

Must include Thompson? Or Love? Love and Griffin together is like a 2014 superteam.

EDIT: Brandon Knight and John Henson, who I'm told are still in the league. Straight salary dump by Detroit unless there's more.

Drummond has to be the guy with the biggest gap between how teams in real life value him and how good the advanced stats (mainly PER / WS) value him due to his rebounding.

Well I guess that means Thompson is getting bought out and will land in LA (either team) within a couple weeks.

oh you know Lebrons been working on this all year long .

Kevin Love right now  >:(

 ;D

Ha, oh man, K-Love and Drummond are going to be fighting one another for all those rebounds! More competition than they have ever had in their life and it is from their own teammate!

Bertans is really good, but not some all-star starter. Even if our pick + Bucks are both projected to be 25-30, I don't see why anyone should be that willing to surrender TWO first rounders for him.

The other piece of this is that we'd have to match salaries, meaning we'd have to give up more than players we'll never use - Poirier isn't enough, and even adding Edwards doesn't get you there. I can't see adding Langford to that offer, *plus* picks.

Honestly if we sent Edwards and Langford, I'd want them to send *us* some kind of pick swap. They're cost-controlled for three more years and Langford clearly has talent. They can have the Bucks first next year but we want a draft asset from them the following year. I'd love a protected pick swap with the protection phasing out over time.

Here's hoping that Thompson will get bought out by the Pistons and he'll then sign for the Celtics.

In all honesty, it seems more likely that he'll sign for the Clips or the Raps.

edit: nevermind, Thompson isn't included in the deal

Poirier and Rob match.  I’ve been saying it for weeks.  And there’s no way we’re giving them multiple picks and Rob.

Bertans AND IT in Boston?  :P

Totally.  We have to send two players to match Bertrans salary, so might as well get IT back since the Wizards would otherwise need to cut somebody.

Yeah but the team that traded him valued him enough for a max!

There's an interesting story to be told about the Drummond/Monroe/Josh Smith Pistons and its steady dissolution as the last gasp of the conventional big men with no perimeter skills approach.

That is quite the haul for GSW. I wonder what protections are on that pick. I hope that pans out for them.

I'd love to see Wiggins up his game in GSW. I still kinda like him despite all his flaws & coasting. Hopefully being on a title contender brings the best out of him.

Happy to see D-Russell go to Minnesota. Don't like that guy. Don't like that team. I wish them bad luck together. Hopefully the beginning of the end for Towns in Minnesota.

Less than 30 mins to go and nothing yet for the Celtics.

Lot of excitement, but probably nothing going to happen
