going to Jaylen would seem to be an obvious move to break any scoring droughts of this team but for whatever reason, we rarely go to him in those times
Mystifying coaching decision, I agree

Thinking the same thing. He makes things happen offensively, makes the defense move and breaks up stagnation. Does Stevens just not like Jaylen Brown ? Tatum is the golden boy who often leads the team in shot attempts and often contributes to a lack of ball and player movement.
Don't ever utter the words golden boy, I was crucified for saying that Hayward and Tatum were Brad's sons using that term

I'm so tired of hearing the Celtics go real small.

Ball movement is nonexistent, little passing.

It really does weirdly seem that way. As if Stevens has a bone to pick with Brown.

Which seems quite ridiculous to write, but I can't think of any rational reason behind it.
Time to pull out the "****ged his wife" joke you see in football , it's really getting ridiculous at this point

I dont think its so much a thing against Jaylen as it is there are two guys ahead of him in that pecking order. the Celtics go to both Tatum and Kyrie to break a drought before Jaylen, problem is both of those guys have limitations (Kemba height, tatum finishing).

There's an option called changing the pecking order instead of banging your head against the wall with a poor hierarchy.

The thing is I don't see any reason for Tatum to actually be ahead of JB in the pecking order. Brown is miles more efficient, has a better FT rate, has an actual positive OBPM, and seems to me to be a better passer and ball-handler. They have identical turnovers per 100 plays, but I think Brown loses it less often on drives to the rim, as he's a much stronger finisher.

First-half observations:

• Horrible start to the game. Not sure which was worse: Boston’s offense or the officiating.
• Great job by Kemba to get them back in the game.
• Good rebounding by Boston.
• Boston’s 3pt D continues to stink. One thing I noticed: the Celtic responsible for covering the weakside corner shooter keeps sagging WAY off, leaving the guy wide open.
• Horrible officiating.
• Not sure why Grant Williams is playing.
• Boston’s 3pt shooting continues to stink.
• Switching doesn’t work on a 7-4 guy.
• Seth Curry has turned into his brother, apparently?

Lol at the last point. We have some special ability to turn mediocre small guards into super stars

Yeah go big with Theis and Tacko!

Porzingis would destroy Tacko unfortunately. He's way too slow to defend him.

I guess we'll never know. I bet he doesn't just shoot over him...

Some of JT's shot selection just makes you sort of sit there and think ... really?
