Hayward being back to pre-injury form is something that could actually get me to care about this team again. Other than Tatum/Smart I couldn't less about the rest of the guys on this roster. I still don't like this coach. He couldn't tie Doc's shoes. But if Hayward and Tatum are going to be the main guys, with Smart as the heart and soul, I can get behind that. Everyone else needs to stay in their lane, they're role players.
I believe The Surgeon is going to replace much of what left with Big Al.
He is not quite as good defensively but his leadership, scoring, rebounding, facilitating....it's there.
He's no slouch defensively, either.
