Woj again basically saying it’s a done deal. Gonna be a long two days hoping something doesn’t interfere.

Awesome. Can’t wait to see what the plans are for the bigs. I’m just hoping it doesn’t require losing my binkie Smart.

The Capela to Boston rumor hasn’t gone away. I don’t want to lose Smart either. He looks more than ready to up his game even more too.

I didn't hear Windhorst say anything about Kemba to LA this morning.  It made me feel better.

This should probably be in the Rumors thread but I am following along with the Capela thing, is it possible to sign and trade Horford for Capela and say Tucker or Gordon?  I there are cap issues with S&T things.  If we can do something like that, it is great.  We kind of preserve the Horford salary slot but then I guess we would have no room to sign Walker.  I may have answered by own question.  We probably have to renounce Horford and Irving in order to sign Walker.

Yes, we have to renounce Horford, Irving, and also Morris, in order to sign Kemba. Even if they could do it, I don't think Al would agree, there's no advantage for him, there are better landing spots that have the money to sign him outright.

Yes. If the Celtics sign Kemba, that would require them to renounce Al Horford's free-agent rights (i.e. get rid of his "cap hold"). Therefore, we would not be able to go over the cap to S&T him.

If you are also wondering: Well what if we S&T Horford first? That would mean the Celtics can't sign Kemba.

Four-way sign and trade or bust baby! Its technically legal/possible!

(it won't happen)

Wojbomb about Whiteside leaning towards Mavs several years ago = failed

incorrect or Whiteside changed his mind/played the Heat for more money

Until its made official,  just going to wait

If the Walker thing doesn't happen,  I would go hard after Brogdon.  Not offer max but something like 22 million per season. Worst case, Bucks need to spend more to keep him hampering their chances to bring back the same team as last season

If this happens that would be a major free agent signing three of the past four years.  I hope that narrative about free agents not wanting to come to the Celtics will go away after that.

I trust Ainge and his team to make Well considering decisions regarding the present and future of the team.
That being said, if a point guard is priority one, I hope he knows he can get a center.

Kemba would be fun and all, But Smart is more than capable of starting at point. Right now we have no one capable of starting at center.

Just start Smart at center then. I'm willing to bet you he can make more defensive stops at a big than Enes Kanter. He is also a good low post player
