Yeah, outside of being a trade asset down the line I don't see the point of this. Steph and Russell is a strange backcourt pairing, though I guess something is better than nothing for Durant.

Lakers were trying to pursue D'Lo, and now he is gone. Butler is gone. Klay is staying with GSW. Irving is in Brooklyn.

Leonard is the last man standing among those big-named players. And the Lakers have a max slot open.
