Tatum and Brown need to really take a BIG step forward, especially now that they have the opportunity to do so. The potential is there but so far, it’s been more potential than actual output.

Meanwhile, guys like Giannis, Booker, Doncic/KP, Embiid/Simmons, Jokic have shown some pretty legit stuff on the court.

Let me answer your question with another question: Which pair of players do you think is more talented, Brown/Tatum or Wall/Beal?

I think it's unquestionably the latter, and that duo is nowhere near good enough to win you a championship. Anything other than the nuclear option will only prolong our status as a middle-of-the-road team, and that option includes a complete change in our front office.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Young duos I'd rather have than Jay and Jay:

Embiid and Simmons
Jokic and Murray
Luka and Kristaps
Giannis and Brogdon
Zion and #4

Zion & #4 > J&J? Unreal. Zion & #3 (Barrett) I could see. But this is a 3 man draft, sir. HUGE dropoff in talent after pick 3. I'm just not high on guys like Culver, Reddish, Hunter.

The rest I have no problem with though.

It's really not about the #4 pick.  It's about the fact that Zion has the talent to be a MVP type player and the Celts don't have a guy like that.  I like Tatum and Brown but their best case scenario is to become second tier stars a la Paul George or Jimmy Butler.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I agree I prefer Jays over Zion and 4 mostly because I think Zion is a great but not next level prospect. That said Nola also has Ingram and Lonzo which puts their core above ours

Ingram and Lonzo stink.  The Pelicans didn't get any current NBA players that I would be excited about in that trade.

this is like the second time NOP has been gifted the #1 pick in the draft because their superstar player bailed on them to a Los Angeles team. Coincidence? I think not. NBA = RIGGED.

I'm of the opinion that the former is more talented. Better positional value, and very complementary skillsets (Brown can slash and doesn't require a very high usage, while Tatum can be the high usage iso guy on the perimeter). They're still young and I believe that they can develop into a top wing duo in the league.

I wasn't asking for "positional value", I wanted to know which duo is more talented... and I think you're dead wrong. None of those guys will ever be as good as Bradley Beal.

I think you're dead wrong as well. And playing in a position that's more valuable does help with winning games right? Winning a championship is the ultimate goal, not collecting the best raw talent. But yes, I believe that Tatum/Brown is more talented that Wall/Beal. Apologies for bringing in something unrelated to your question.

They rank the same as our record last year: mid of the road
