So they traded #20 to move down 13 slots, get rid of $6 Million worth of cap space and pick up an unprotected 1st rounder in 2020, a Giannis injury away from being a good pick.
Its top 7 protected in 2020.

Celtics receiving the Bucks’ top-7 protected pick in next year’s draft, per league sources.
Good trade since that draft should be stronger.

I don’t know. It’s still probably around 28th next year. I would have rather had Little (and Baynes).

Clearing cap space - I suppose we can hope they have someone lined up.

Can confirm the Celtics have traded Aron Baynes to the Suns, per sources.
i do believe ainge is clearing out space to sign a max player in free agency. hence the dumping of the first rounder.

Yep, that's what it looks like to me. Otherwise, Baynes is a great guy to have in the lockerroom, especially for another big like Williams.

We are REALLY young at this point. And it looks pretty clear at this point that at the very least Mook is gone, along with probably Rozier (which I would be happy with).

I feel like Trader Danny is just seeking out his fix because he didn't get to pull the trigger on AD.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I still don't understand why we didn't draft Little... and we chose Williams..

Yuck.

Did we just trade for an extra pick then trade a pick for a future pick?

Tp. Thanks. Any idea what it turns into if it’s too 7?

What max player could we be targeting? Kemba isn’t worth it anymore with no Horford. DAR?

I hope the plan comes together, whatever that plan is.  Because it is either a big trade / signing, or we really are trying to do a mini-tank.

Trade makes more sense now. Good salary dump.
Celtics cleared 8M in extra cap space w/ the combined PHI/PHX trades. I like it.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

So are we mega-tanking or going for a max FA? Like a Kemba type?
