You're right. He led the NCAA in shots taken. He also led the NCAA in shots missed, by a wide margin.

He also made almost 150 3's and 200 free throws

If you take way more shots than anyone else, you're bound to make some. No other shooter in all of college basketball took as many shots as he did, while shooting such an awful %.

Making that many 3s is hardly impressive when you take as many as he did. 2nd most in the country.

So when you say he's a good shooter, that's a case no one can make, using any measure.  If you say he's a high volume shooter, then you're right on the money.
