The Memphis pick is valuable, but super valuable is a stretch.

Remember, the 2018 Nets pick traded for Kyrie was expected to be a top 5 or top 3 pick.
But it ended up as the 8th pick, Sexton.

Our 2019 Kings pick is also supposed to be a top 3 pick.
But right now it's looking like it's just a top 13 pick.

Anything can happen in the next 2 seasons.
It's true the Memphis pick the Celts own has real value, but it's not a sure thing.

Can't compare Brooklyn and Sacramento to Memphis, really Memphis?

For all the talk of Irving’s recent apology to LeBron James and the idea that Irving might renege on his October promise to re-sign in order to reunite with his former Cleveland Cavaliers co-star with the Lakers, a source with knowledge of the Celtics’ thinking said there is little to no concern about that prospect within their green walls. – via The Athletic

I don't see the Kings making the playoffs.

Good for the Celts as it will be one more lottery pick to include in the AD deal.

I never understood the lure of being a New York Knick.  I understand LA Lakers, but I don’t get what is it about being a Knick.

The Knicks are no Yankees - sorry Knicks fan.  Your franchise has always been overrated; even in good times.

...being a Laker or Celtic is way cooler.

You have visited New York city right?

It is one of the most visited cities in the world for a reason

these guys are not joining the team due to their history.  But the city, media and madison square garden

Visiting the City does not mean you have to play for them.
its always better if your playing for a winning organization.

Kyrie will re-sign and reup in Boston because he wont make the same amount  of money elsewhere. this is regardless of whether we get AD or not, because even if we do not get AD, Kyrie knows the organization is in good hands and would still be winning loads of games because the kids will eventually mature..heck they already are battle tested in the POs.

Its not the supermax... you think 40-50 million will deter him?

The guy walked away from supermax potential with the Cavs....  He cares about money but doesn't seem like it at the very top

Kyrie joining the Knicks with Butler and Durant shouldn't be taken lightly

the owners can tell them, its their team.... they can bring in whoever, have a say in the draft etc.

Kyrie's chances of winning a championship, with AD, in Boston is higher than if he goes to NY.

Celts have a better coach and a better team.

Unless something drastic happens, like Celts exiting in the 1st round, I don't think Kyrie will change his mind.

Kyrie said he will re-sign with the Celts.
I believe him.

re: the better team

Depends on what assets go out in a Davis deal, and on if Hayward returns to form.

Kyrie and current Hayward, and 1 year older Horford and Davis is not winning more games than say, Kyrie, Butler and Durant. (thats assuming both brown and tatum and smart are traded)

I hope that its Hayward and Rozier that gets the job done. But if need be then include Brown/Hayward and Picks and sign and trade Rozier for wing depth.

Ideally 2019 starting lineup
Kyrie/Brown/Tatum/Horford/Davis

second option
Kyrie/Smart/tatum/Horford/Davis

with either option Williams will soon take over starting center duties, pushing davis to PF and Horford to bench
