Last season Morris was locked in a trial and by the time he got to basketball he was out of shape and with all new players. He then had a string of nagging injuries.

Here is a thought the league should allow players that have been drafted or traded for should have their salaries  discounted against salary cap and Luxury tax.
At some point fans will react to the mercenary movement of players groomed and part of a team having to go elsewhere for a big payday.Teams should get bonus points toward cap for holding players.
Morris may never play as well or be as happy as he has been in Boston..
Theis even coming off injury has now returned to form he had before getting injured and has a year with his teammates and adjusting to America and NBA..
Fans have to stay in the moment also-

Does anyone know what it would take to resign Morris? How much could the C’s offer him in free agency? I’d really hate to lose him. I’m afraid some to with cap space will try to sign both the Morris’s.

Personally, I think the way he’s playing he deserves at least a 4 year/$50 mill deal.

Morris has been the new piece in the starting lineup on this latest run. He adds toughness to the unit with Smart.  This allows the rest of the team to play more fluently.  The starting unit has gotten off to nice leads early and allowed the team to play more relaxed.  Not to mention the bench is now loaded with talent and is increasing leads when they get in there. Morris has been great since he came here in whatever roll BS has put him in.

4/50 sounds about right to me.  I hope they can keep him.  It all depends on how much luxury tax ownership will be willing to pay.  I'm guessing he will end up signing elsewhere.

Remember we traded AB for this guy, and people thought we were just dumping salary?

What a gem!

At today's inflated rates, I think MM could get 4/70 somewhere.

I wish we could sign both him and his brother and they give us a discount for being together.  We could use some more big depth.

I didn’t realize Morris was such a good player.  He is a very solid power forward who can defend well with a good shooting touch. Very nice pick up since we couldn’t keep AB anyway.

He could definitely see Evan Turner money. Sadly, I could see someone giving Rozier $15 million per as well. So who do you keep? Either or neither? Will it matter who they draft? Will it matter if this is the first year the Celtics go into the luxury tax?

Weird how he is just getting better and better, and Markieff is getting worse and worse.
