You did not think it was odd that he missed half a year of college?   That was a big warning sign to me.

So did Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. From what I saw, it wasn't a serious injury. It seemed more precautionary -- more like a business move. If something else happened, he might have slipped in the draft and lost literally millions of dollars.

That's exactly why it was a warning sign. No good player sits out games in college for a 'business move'. They all want to showcase their stuff for NBA scouts as much as possible.

Once you're expected to go #1, there's not much benefit to showcasing yourself more. You might go from "probable #1 pick, but definite top 3-5 pick" to "consensus #1", but you also risk having weaknesses exposed or getting hurt and dropping out of the lottery altogether
I'm bitter.

You can lose your value by not playing. I have never seen a probable #1 pick decide to sit before. It's also not like he was a consensus #1. Pretty much every #1 pick candidate is looking forward to prove their value in college, not to run away from it and hide. That's not the type of guy teams want to build their franchise on.

I fact checked the Ben Simmons, because that is not what I remembered.  Ben Simmons played all of the games when he was at LSU.  He just was not good enough to get that bad team on his back and to the NCAAs.

Embiid was hurt.  But your most definitely wrong on Ben Simmons with all due respect.  So this proves that memory can be faulty.

Fultz was hiding something and he is still hiding something.  It is like when Exum had the one good game and hide all year and did not even play basketball.    I realize what your saying but I would suggest the problems began then and obsfucation began in college.

Also, I would want a guy who is competitive and not just trying to protect his draft status if I were drafting a guy.

Face it, we all buy the hype train from time to time and we are wrong.   This includes me, and everyone of us.
