The Boston brass use 'fireworks' as a metaphor for big things happening in Boston. What better day than July 4th for them to have their new acquisition announce his decision.

The promises of FIREWORKS and a July 4th announcement is why I predict that Hayward will announce  Boston as his choice. Obviously the choice has already been made this is just a matter of announcement, and i believe his new team (Boston) will love the fireworks on fireworks day.

I also agree with the posters that have argued that Hayward would not lead on Brad if he was not interested in Boston unless he told Brad he is not, and Brad persuaded him to just hear out the team.

The Instsgram picture of his daughter wearing the 'Go Green' shirt when it is likely Hayward took the pic himself has to be more than a coincidence, right?

FINALLY THE FIREWORKS PROMISED BY BOSTON.... Hayward to The CELTICS.

Him going to Miami would be odd, but I can see the appeal as they desperately need an elite wing scorer and that would make the Heat really tough.

Staying in Utah makes more sense to me - I get the Western Conference has improved but to be a champion you have to go through the West at some point.

I just don't see the Boston thing happening as there is still major uncertainty about IT.  What if he can never fully recover from the hip injury or the Cs do not resign him?

I personally think all signs point to it being of the teams involved anyone other than boston.

I mean last month of the season we were hearing Hayward to boston was already a done deal. then heading into free agency all of a sudden Miami is involved and Utah hasn't gone away.

I think if GH was planning on leaving Utah it would've been done and quick...like pullin off a Band-Aid.

You do not have to go through the West if you are in the East, you just have to beat one team from the West after they have destroyed each other. It is a totally different route to a championship.

July 4, 2017. The Boston Celtics signed one of the biggest free agent players in the NBA that summer.

Gordon Hayward Day!

(And because I'm getting tired of the Kawhi/LeBron lovefest, Robert Williams missing his plane, and Smart money we need something new to talk about, and why not GH20!  8))

TP to SparWizard for some positive thinking.

This board has been going around talking GSW, Kawhi, LeFlop, and Smart's selfishness for asking more than 10 million, it was making my head spin lol.

I like it. Rather than keep hearing about teams we should be "scared to death of" and creating excuses/reasons about how we should trade Kyrie before he "leaves us", we should be reminded that we have a top 20 player on the roster in Hayward, who will make his long-awaited debut this fall.

Cautious optimism abounds.

I have heard a whole range of comments about GH's return this season. Will he play the 4? Will he be traded? Will he be played sparingly and back into NBA game shape ? Will he get enough touches to have an impact? Kyrie cant wait to play with him?

All I know is we are adding a superior talent to our roster and rotation. Combine wth the return of Kyrie and we will again be a force.
