This team WILL be scary when Kyrie and Hayward are 100%.

The problem is fixing rotations and minutes, and lineups. But it's a good problem to have.

Irving/Brown/Hayward/Tatum/Horford starting 5 and closing 5?

It's very exciting!  The team should be elite, and is an awesome mix of home grown and built/acquired talent.  It'll be one of those seasons where you can't miss a game.

Assuming Smart and Baynes are back, that puts the roster at this (Nader can easily be dropped for someone else).

PG - Irving, Rozier, Wannamaker
SG - Brown, Smart
SF - Hayward, Morris, Ojeleye, Nader
PF - Tatum, Theis, Yabusele
C - Horford, Baynes, Williams

With everyone healthy, I would expect the regular seasons minutes to be something like this (I'd want to keep Tatum at PF all season so he gets used to it though when he is playing with Morris he may be the SF)

PG - Irving 32, Rozier 16
SG - Brown 24, Smart 24
SF - Hayward 32, Brown 6, Morris 10
PF - Tatum 30, Morris 6, Theis 12
C - Horford 30, Baynes 12, Williams 6

So total minutes

32 - Irving, Hayward
30 - Brown, Tatum, Horford
24 - Smart
16 - Rozier, Morris
12 - Baynes, Theis
6 - Williams

Come playoffs, I think the rotation shrinks to 9 with Theis and Williams getting cut out

PG - Irving 36, Rozier 12
SG - Brown 30, Smart 18
SF - Hayward 36, Brown 6, Morris 6
PF - Tatum 36, Morris 12
C - Horford 36, Baynes 12
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Depends on who we're playing. I think when we play a team like Philly with a strong post presence, you'll see Baynes and Theis get a lot more minutes. Baynes would probably start in that scenario.

Overall minutes likely won't change much, but it will be interesting to see who is coming off the bench on a night where CBS starts Baynes. Maybe initially Hayward, but I'm guessing eventually Brown. At closing time, I think he goes back to his best 5 and has Al guard the ADs KATs of the world. You have to like our best 5 against any other East team's best 5, but it's not a good idea to ask Al at his age to defend someone like Embiid big minutes every time we play them.

Agree completely. I think some avg minutes per game (like Williams, Morris and Rozier) will be higher due to rest/games missed for the star/older (we only really have one older player) players.

It's going to be a fun year!

TP for that video. I mean... that succession of plays, in that moment, by that player (rookie). INSANE! The chest bump on LBJ after that dunk...lucky he didn't get T'd up. (IMO it would've been worth it).

And we add 2 all stars to that same group next year. Good luck East & West. I actually have confidence in our ability to compete with any team next year.
