With Hayward, Irving, and Smart likely out vs MIL, are the Celtics underdogs?

Rozier
Brown
Tatum
Horford
Baynes

Meaningful Bench players: Morris, Monroe

Bledsoe
Middleton
Giannis
Parker
Henson

Bench: Terry, Maker, Jennings

I want to say no, but I'm not sure.

The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

No they are not underdogs. The Celtics have more experience, a better coach, and home court

Fair point. This too would be a big challenge. I think they still beat MIA, but I'm not sure about WAS or MIL.

Nope. If Monroe was still on their team, then maybe. They don't have interior presence anymore.

Yeah. As I pointed out in another thread, WSH will have John Wall back and the Celtics won't have Kyrie and Smart. That is a matchup I would avoid in the first rounds. Give me either the Bucks or the Heat in Round 1.

So much. One feels they will definitely win a game getting hot from outside.. but the playoffs half court grind will leave them exposed.

Are people somehow getting more pessimistic after we beat the thunder and blazers?

Even if we're limited to Rozier-Brown-Tatum-Morris-Horford to start we'd still win against them. I expect Baynes to play relatively little because the Bucks don't really have a big that gives us problems inside, we're probably using Monroe more to exploit that weakness.
