Well, the 2018 pick is looking less and less likely.

It's a pretty good ranking. My personal notes on the next two drafts:

I'm not as high on Bamba as most because I don't like using a high pick to take someone with a glaring weakness on offense. It could be like Thon Maker 2.0. Those highlights of him playing solitaire on the offensive boards or repeatedly getting lobs won't happen in the NBA because people know how to box out. Defensively, he's obviously amazing. I just don't know if you draft defensively anymore because you're getting drafted into Brad Stevens' system in which even Kyrie Irving is a pretty good defender.

I think Doncic is the best player in both drafts, but if I had a pick on all of these, I'd take Ayton for sure due to the fit. If there is an actual lotto team that gets the #1 pick (an actual bottom feeder), I'd be shocked if Doncic doesn't get picked. He's the perfect guy to build a franchise around.

I also think Zion Williamson is much better than people think. This guy has LeBron James written all over him. Never seen such a talented/athletic player with his amount of size since LeBron. He looks like a 250 pound Kyrie Irving LeBron James baby.

I highly doubt we get the pick this year but Ayton is far and away my favorite prospect.  If we can snag him, we would have a dynasty in the making.

My main takeaway is that this years crop is much better and deeper than next years.  Let's hope the pick conveys.  I'm still somewhat optimistic, Lakers are only one win ahead of the teams in the 5-6 slots.
