According to WEEI, Jimmy Garoppolo is about to sign an extension with the 49ers for 5 years and $137.5 million, and become the highest paid player in the NFL.
As always in the NFL, the main question is how much of this is guaranteed.

I think he will also receive a Super Bowl share because of when he was traded. He is having a great week.

Well, if it gets too expensive and he refuses to re-structure, they will cut him. And then he can sign with the Pats.  Works for me.
