At 24 years old Bennett is still young and certainly well traveled, used to media attention and criticism.Does Bennett have the tools for NBA or will/discipline demanded for NBA basketball
It seems fit/coaching is very important part of NBA .I am wondering given talent , physical size can Bennett become a role player for Celts at some point.'

Was this trade move done to get the Celts a closer look at what had been a number one pick in a bad draft.
Can Bennett turn it around with enough drive? Or is he just not talented enough?
-He worked all summer with Impact Training out west and has had his share of injuries at inopportune times since 2013.
HOW BAD IS BENNETT(or HOW GOOD if you take NUMBER ONE AWAY)

Bennett was actually really good on offence coming out of college, In his lone year at UNLV, he scored 16.1 points and grabbed 8.1 rebounds per game while putting up a near 61 percent true-shooting percentage and a 26.2 PER. It may not seem like it now, but there was a lot to like about his offensive game. He hit 37.5 percent of his 3s and finished in the 94th percentile in finishing around the basket on non-post-ups in the halfcourt, according to Synergy. He also showed off a post game that got him nearly one point per possession, good for the 72nd percentile.

The problem was his defence has always been terrible and his attitude has always been poor and honestly sometimes you watch him and he doesn't look like he wants to be there. I feel like this is the explanation for him being out of the league at 23, no player that was picked that high, didn't have the talent to at least have a long career in the NBA in some capacity unless they really don't want to be an NBA player just like Bynum, Coleman and many other early flame outs, they just want the money and have no real interest in being a professional basketballer and this might be the case with Bennett.

e.g: Bennett setting a pick while playing for the Cavs

He has not shown that he wants to be an NBA player up to now.   He has not demonstrated one NBA level skill aside from shooting free throws and has struggled with his weight.

I think he is one of those rare guys whose guy was to make it to the NBA and he had no goals or drive after achieving that.   It sounds silly but it happens.

CBS is a good coach, but this is a very tall order.

His stats in the G league are mediocre to a large extent.

Could he have been good in college because he was simply a big guy and strong?   We are really desperate for help it seems because this is scrapping the bottom of the barrell.    Still, he is cheap and our bench needs help Trader Danny also likes to be Gamber Danny getting guys who careers are washed up and seeing if the Celtics can revive them.

What do you mean resuscitate?  He’s NEVER had a career to speak of in the NBA.

here is an interesting pair of articles on bennett. they shed no light, for me, on whether he has gained the focus and drive to succeed or not. he has nba skills.

for me, in the first article, the key point for bennett's failure to date has been this:

“The issue with Anthony was, and we had no way of knowing it at the time, the kid had no desire to overcome adversity whatsoever. As soon as it was hard, he was out,” (David) Griffin said. “His whole life, he rolled out of bed bigger, better, and more talented than everybody else. As soon as it was hard, it was over."

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Just watched his G league highlites on Red Claws site under roster while scoring 20pts over several games -he is shooting threes at 42% this season-and he has some length-runs well and seems smooth for a big guy-
PLEASE NOBODY TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY-
Just curious that the Red Claws drafted him-There is always curiosity over a number one that fails so badly even getting cut from Euroleague/ Fernabache squad in june

After reading the article it appears Anthony is making the effort needed to be an NBA player. Time will tell if he can reach that potential.

Danny must have sensed good things about his personality and desire. Otherwise, why would he take a chance with him? I hope someday Bennett proves that he was worthy of the top pick.

If Danny chose to bring him in.

The combination of CBS's tutelage, Marcus Smart's barking and on-court leadership and the team's success and future could very well do it.

Marcus is part of the reason why Jaylen is starting.

Perhaps BOS or San Antonio..maybe 1 or 2 other teams.
