So what is the most surprising team to you to start the season?  Is it one of the fast starts by supposed lesser teams like the Lakers, Magic, or Knicks?  Or maybe that Boston has with stood the Hayward injury to lead the league?  Or is it one of the Cavs, Bucks, or Thunder starting off very poorly?  Or is it something else (Pacers, Nets, Suns, etc.)?

Going with Orlando as they really have no one that impressive on their roster. I think they'll come back to earth, however at this point they are playing pretty impressive ball for a bunch of nobodies.

I just voted for the C's.  I never imagined that after losing Gordon that we would be at 9-2 leading the league after 11 games.  I underestimated Brown and Tatum.

Celtics. With the east being so weak, something like the magic winning a few games was bound to happen

How come you didn't include Memphis?

Boston for sure.

Knicks my second choice, especially given how poorly they played us early on.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Cs are the obvious answer. I am not so sure we wouldn't be 11-0 if the Hayward injured occurred in the pre-season rather than the much anticipated first game of the season vs the Cavs (with a quick turnaround the next night vs the Bucks).

It's still early and a lot of teams are likely to play more according to 'plan.' Most of the teams listed are around .500 - that's not too crazy. The C very well could win the East (best record) again.

they are 6-4 (losing 3 of their last 4 - tempering their great start a bit), which is pretty much what they have been for the last 5 years or so.  You can vote for them as other if you want.
