Maybe I missed it , but I d not see that lock down defense by Bradley he was know for on Celtics .  I did not see much defense by Pistons at all .  Everyone of them chucking three s like they were the Warriors .  Imwas sorry a even sat there watching a pile of turds game.
You didn't miss it -- it seems that you, like many people, had refused to acknowledge the real state of affairs with Bradley's "lock down" while he was on the Celtics.

I called that Detroit would lose to LA after beating Golden State in the Lakers Season Watch thread, and sure enough, we've entered NBA bizarro world.

Like I've said numerous times elsewhere, I'm not getting my hopes up for a top 5 pick this year.  I want one so bad but it just doesn't look probable.

I'm even trying to convince myself that getting Sac '19 might even be better, despite what looks like a worse draft from #2 to #5, in case the NOP can't get their sh*t together and we are able to make a strong offer for AD that lets us keep Kyrie, Hayward & at least 1 of JB/JT.

The Lakers are still awful. Detroit was just overrated based on a few early season games. AB hasn't been a good defender for two years now and if his shot isn't falling he is a below average player now.

There is a difference between not being a lockdown defender like Kawhi Leonard or (sometimes) Marcus Smart and a bad defender. Lets take a random group of starting Shooting Guards (Fournier, Bradley, Oladipo, Redick, Justin Holiday, Rivers, Wiggins, Danny Green, Caldwell-Pope, Hield) and most certainly you would pick Bradley as one of the firsts if your only consideration is defense.

I would agree with you if you said Bradley is overrated on defense, that he's a better on-ball defender than off-ball and that he's best at guarding PG's and that he can have problems defending his own man because of a height disadvantage. But saying Bradley hasn't been a good defender the last two years is overdone and not fair in my opinion.

Lonzo is special and his dad is hilarious.

He's making his teammates better already. You can't teach that and that is a bonafide gift.

I'm still believing we'll feast on their pick next draft but the kid and his team have a bright future.

Looking forward to LA-BOS renewing their rivalry.

I didn't watch much of it, but Avery couldn't throw it in the ocean, and he just kept chucking it up there.

Really awful night for AB. At some point, if the shot ain't fallin', you got to just quit shooting.
I can see how that makes sense, but That logic runs contrary to every  nba players mindset ever.  They are all told to 'keep shooting '. You gotta shoot your way out of funks.

Detroit was due for a bubble burst.

Two of their three highest USG players, Bradley and Harris had both shot over 50% on threes over the prior three games.   Both are good 3PT shooters, but that was screaming for regression.   Not sustainable.

So, naturally, they combined to shoot 2 of 12 from beyond the arc against LAL.

Add in the 1 of 4 on threes by Jackson and the 0 of 3 by Bullock, and that's 4 guys contributing to a 3 of 19 brick show from beyond the arc.

Some of this is 'let down' after the emotional win over GSW, but a lot of this is just regression.  Detroit is probably a better team than the Lakers in the long run.  But they aren't really as good as their current place in the conference standings would imply.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

Not surprised, just the Pistons regress to normal, AB is still AB, an overrated defender/rebounder and a stricky shooter
