Why are the Celtics going inside to Hayward?

During the preseason the Celtics kept trying to go to Hayward inside, and it did not work.
Now Hayward has been badly injured on just such a play.

Why did they keep doing it?

Utah ran that play with regularity. Some Jazz fans Ive talked too said they ran it at least once a game down the back half of the season.

This is a ridiculous complaint made with ones emotions rather than ones brain.
