Looks like the Celtics pick is projected to be the Kings at #2 for Zion Williamson and the Grizzlies pick converting to us at #9. We'd also get the 18th pick from the Clippers and our own at 29.

I'm pretty sure everyone here would be thrilled with that outcome.

For those who don't have insider:
1) Bulls - R.J. Barrett
2) Celtics (via Kings) - Zion Williamson
3) Hawks - Sekou Doumbouya
4) Nets - Cameron Reddish
5) Suns - Anfernee Simons
6) Pacers - Immanuel Quickley
7) Knicks - Nassir Little
8) Pelicans - Quentin Grimes
9) Celtics (via Grizzlies) - Romeo Langford
10) Magic - Darius Garland

That's a nice post Erik - my only disagreement (and this about discussions in the forums in general not your post) is that draft projections are mostly about the order of the players drafted - they have next to no value at predicting the order that the teams will pick.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
TP for posting. Yeah, #2 would be incredible and if the Grizz pick does convey in '19, I am glad we get the best possible outcome. However, I think I would rather push that one down the road a little ways because 4 additional firsts would be insane. Perhaps rosters will be expanded to 20 by that time  ;)

Given the # of bigs in this year's draft and the ability to screw soft angeles, I would rather the pick convey this year.
optimism is a skill

The good news is that Los Angeles is screwed no matter what.

I don't get why Bol Bol isn't in this mock

I prefer Barrett and Bol to "no jumpshot" Williamson
