Based on what I see here, veterans are apparently not immune from slipping on a wet spot, receiving a bad pass that bounces 4 inches off the floor between their legs, and having the ball batted off their face.

Lack of experience playing together will be the biggest issue for this team during the regular season, assuming injuries aren't a major problem.

First on rebounding? The Celtics were ranked 27th in the NBA for total rebounds? Achilles heel?
Let's just go with freaking awful. Stevens used to use the rebounding as a joke in press conferences.

This year's team is far bigger.

If Stevens starts Baynes like he did Amir?

Irving 6'3"
Smart 6'4"
Hayward 6'8"
Horford 6'10"
Baynes 6'10"

Brown 6'7"
Morris 6'9"
Rozier 6'2"

Call me crazy, but, I think "small ball" will be a rare sight in Boston this year.

As far as youth, yes the Celtics seem younger but, the younger guys won't be getting that many minutes. Top nine players and Brown is the youngest. Rozier is young, but, the guy is a proven defender and in big games also.

There are a lot of question marks. In addition to what you noted:

1. Chemistry. There was a ton of turnover;

2. Leadership. Our best players aren't vocal leaders, and our most vocal leaders got traded.

3. Defense. Losing AB and Jae will hurt. Hopefully Jaylen can step up.

4. Shooting. We lost a lot of it.

5. The offense. Guys like Kyrie, Baynes, and Morris are going to have to change their games significantly to do what Brad likes to do. There will be less spacing, and fewer handoffs. Kyrie hasn't traditionally played in an offense with as much ball movement, and tends to be at his most efficient the more he dribbles.

For a conference finalist, there will be growing pains.

You are neglecting the increase of talent. Talent wins NBA games cause talent gets calls. Irving and Hayward are stars. Crowder and AB are not stars. Stars win games. The East is also a far worse conference.

I also don't see where we lost a lot of shooting. Unless you overly value KO.

I find it kind of humorous in 5 seasons we went from a poor-rebounding fringe contender who were too old to a poor-rebounding fringe contender that's too young.

I think our youth is our future, we have a solid team that is on the edge of contention albeit the 3rd or 4th best team and some young guys with promise.

KO shot 51% from the field.  Bradley and Crowder both shot over 39% on a high volume of 3's.  That's a lot of shooting we lost.

LOL.
We just don't believe in rebounds.

And yet most regard, Kyrie as a better shooter than AB.
