I still can't believe all the butt-hurt people on this board that need convincing that this team is better than the dead-end roster we just got rid of.
I'm beginning to think you guys are more upset with being wrong about that group of players that are now gone being just a bridge team than being concerned about the team's actual goal of getting better.
TP. Perfectly explained.
I don't think you can win a championship with a 5'7" PG unable to defend, or with Crowder as starter, with Kelly playing a big game and disappearing in the next four, even with Bradley (my favourite) so undersized as SG if he doesn't have Magic Johnson/Lonzo Ball/Shane Livingston beside him in the backcourt.
They were good, they played with heart and passion and we loved them. But I realistically think the ECF with the best conference record was THE BEST they could get.
Now we have Kyrie, a top-4 PG in the league, we have a scoring machine all-around player in Hayward, we still have Horford as glue do-it-all guy, we have some young players developing (Smart, Brown, Tatum, Rozier) and some help from veterans (Morris, Baynes, etc).
I don't think anyone thinking with their head, and not heart, can say we had a better roster last year. It's too biased and irrational.
