A recently retired NH state trooper recently sued and settled a sexual harassment/hostile environment case that involved, among other things, pervasive use of feminine references as a put down to indicate inadequacy or incompetence. Essentially, squaring the feminine with incompetence is sexist.

Let's be better than this. Most of us are older than 10.

Those who are older than 10 should be able to handle such references.  Those who cannot should cease all contact with the outside world.

by this logic, African Americans should be able to "handle" being called N- as well, or at least the use of such terms to demean and ridicule.

He's so [Negative criticism], he's like a woman [or derogatory term for same].

He's so [Negative criticism], he's like a black guy ["  "  "..."].

See. It matters.

We should really be respectful of women in this world. They've got us outnumbered if nothing else.

I disagree with this nobody should be using the n word like that.

Same. It's entirely different. Also if women aren't respected they wouldn't have equal rights (on paper, I've heard both sides complain too much and I do not want to get reported, nor whip feminists into a frenzy, this is a basketball forum) and still having stuff like "ladies first" and "take it easy on her, she's a woman/girl" in 1st world countries. I mean true these terms sound derogatory and there are instances where women get the short end of the stick but the same can be said for men if you dig deep enough. I'm all for equality though, don't **** me in the ass because I'm not a feminist.

In the world of sports. A feminine reference to mean less competent makes sense because women arent as good at sports
That's not sexism that's anatomy. The FACT of the matter is the x chromosome comes with a sports upgrade package.

True. This would whip the feminists into a crazy, expect tennis references in King's win against a male player to be in play as well as you being reported (I'll be your comrade with my comment above lol).

Well, right on cue, we have Oak stirring the controversy. Said players today, "...are so sensitive they should wear dresses when they play...". Article author categorized the comment as "politically incorrect at best, and misogynistic/homophobic at worse."

So there's that. If Oakley is your role model...

Edit: and just to underscore the point, when someone says such things, it is correct to categorize the comment as sexist; that's what it is.  Don't like that label?  Fine. Do better. Show respect.
