System coach criticism is dumb and seems unfounded.

Brad Stevens made the playoffs with 3 of the worst possible fits to his "system" as a rookie coach: Evan Turner, Brandon Bass and Tyler Zeller.

Brad Stevens "system" was completely devoid of pick and rolls until we got Isaiah Thomas and now we run it all the time.

Has there ever been a big game or playoff series in which Brad's coaching was viewed as a detriment, either overall or in terms of specific decisions?

How many players have come to the Celtics and started under-performing?

How many players have come to the Celtics and played the best ball of their careers?

How many opposing players have offered unsolicited praise of Stevens?

How many coaches have exceeded expectations by taking an underdog team deep into both the NBA playoffs and NCAA tournament?

there's a lot of contributing factors to the "success" of the Celtics. if we're putting it all on Stevens then he deserves the credit for this team losing badly in the east finals.

or we could look at it realistically and say sure Stevens has had his share in the Celtics winning but a big part of their success is the east is weak and the Celtics are one of the few teams that seem to have some sense of focus that 90% of the rest of the east don't.

this team easily could've been an 8 seed this yr. if a couple other teams lived up to the hype made before last season started.

Where exactly is anyone "putting it all on Stevens" and saying there aren't other "contributing factors to the success of the Celtics"?

Your entire post is a non sequitur.

uhh your entire post is putting it all on brad stevens.

I wish, at times, he worried more about post play, rebounding, and free throws.

Besides that, he's great!
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Where does it say that. Show me.

I posted a series of questions intended to start discussion about positive things Stevens may have added to the team. It's actually impossible that I would have "put it on" anyone, as they are questions not statements. See the question marks?

Ridiculous.

It is AMAZING when I think about it.

He's been here for a rebuild and took this team farther than what was expected - even a few years ago.

We've steadily built on the foundation he's laid.

He's a VERY unassuming Coach AND person...speaks VERY well for the camera but without the clichés and such. VERY direct and plain AND understandable.

Celtic.

Not ANYONE can coach The Boston Celtics and we have a gifted one right now.

With our new weapons in tow and the players that are left we're going to do GREAT things with this team.

All Celtics Legend Paul Pierce said he needed was a SHOT - a CHANCE - at a ring. He got it.

I believe we have that shot NOW. It's STILL small - but it's a bigger shot than a year ago.

I laugh out loud at the pundits as they predicted BOS's "shot" against the 2007-2008 Lakers. ALL of them (except for Tim Legler) said The Lakers would beat us that year.

Tim Legler gave us a SHOT.

Most of the time all we NEED in life is a chance. We have it now.

Looking forward to more good stuff from Coach Stevens and this fine team.
